𝟬𝟭. ❛LOVE'S LAMENT❜

In the realm where hearts entwine,

A dance of love, so divine,

Yet shadows lurk, unseen, unknown,

Whispering fears, in hearts alone.

Beneath the surface, a tempest stirs,

A fear of wounds, where love occurs,

For love, a battlefield, fierce and wild,

Where scars are etched, by passion's guile.

In tender embraces, lies a hidden thorn,

Where love's sweet touch, can leave one torn,

A delicate balance, between joy and pain,

Where love's embrace, may leave a stain.

Like fragile glass, hearts may break,

In the tremors of love, they quake,

For to love deeply is to risk it all,

And fear the wounds that may befall.

In the tapestry of love, fear is woven tight,

A constant companion, in the dead of night,

Yet still, we dare to love, to take the chance,

In hopes that love's wounds, we may enhance.

In the crucible of love, I find my truth,

In the scars I bear, from my youth,

Yet in the end, it's not joy I've found,

But heartache deep, that knows no bound.

So I face my fears, with a heavy heart,

Knowing love's promise was torn apart,

For I dared to dream, but only found despair,

In the wreckage of love, beyond repair.
