Deep pain vibrated through my body as I was continuously kicked in the back. I stayed quiet taking the pain as if icouldn't feel it knowing that if I so much as whimper he would hurt Nathan and I just can't let that happen.
"I told you that by the time I got home, you better have dinner ready, dammit!" he spat.
"Im sorry, baby, I promise I'll be better tomorow " I pleaded to him through bloody swollen lips.
"You better or that thing," he sneered, drunkenly pointing at Nathan "Gets it. Now go clean yourself up, you look a mess!"
Without hesitation I scrambled to the bathroom and let the tears run as I soothed my blotted abdomen.
"Its okay Nathan,Daddy's just having one of his days. It'll be okay once you get here" I cood to my unborn son.
I don't want to be lying to my Nathan but life with my husband is never predictable.
