As the day settled in, Cece graced the occasion in a breathtaking, elegant red wine-colored lace gown. The gown cascaded gracefully, enhancing her every move with its intricate lace detailing and rich, captivating color. The dress exuded sophistication and charm, perfectly complementing Cece's radiant aura as she prepared to join the festivities.

In contrast, Eve opted for a different gown, deciding against the one Sam had chosen for her. Her selection was a sleeveless, short dress with a lively, almost Barbie-like look. The vibrant colors and playful design of the dress mirrored Eve's youthful spirit, creating an ensemble that stood out with a touch of vivacity.

Just before the party commenced, as Eve descended the stairs, Ed and Sam cast disapproving glances her way.

Eve adorned a striking dress that captivated attention with its daring design. The dress featured a deep neckline, gracefully plunging to accentuate her collarbones and add a touch of allure. Its length was notably short, revealing the contours of her legs and creating a bold and fashionable statement.

Adding to the dress's allure, the back was entirely bare, showcasing an elegant and tasteful backless design. The combination of the deep neckline, short length, and backless style created a modern and daring look.

Sam, questioning and raising an eyebrow, remarked, "Eve, didn't I provide you with a gown to wear for today's event?"

Unfazed, Eve responded, "Sure, Sam, but I thought I'd save it for another occasion."

Ed, growing increasingly frustrated, intervened sternly, "Eve, head back to your room and change. My business partners are attending, and I don't want you to be at the party dressed like this."

Eve protested, "Ed, I think I look beautiful in this dress."

Ed, maintaining his stern tone, replied, "Yes, you do look beautiful, but this isn't appropriate for your age. Go and change into something more modest and suitable for a family gathering. Am I clear?"

Despite Ed's authoritative stance, Eve continued to voice her disagreement, "But Ed, I've already completed my makeup and hairstyle. Can we discuss something else? Please, just leave me alone."

Sensing the escalating tension, Sam stepped in, offering a solution, "I'll call the makeup artist again to fix your makeup. Happy now? Just go and change."

Eve, however, persisted in her whining, leading Ed to lose his patience. He asserted firmly, "Listen, Eve, you're either attending the party with another dress or attending it with another dress and a sore bottom. The choice is yours. Either way, you're going to need the makeup artist. So go and call him."

Defiantly, Eve declared, "Leave it. I'm not going to the party anymore."

Sam, noting the inconvenient timing of Eve's tantrum, remarked, "Pretty wrong time to throw a tantrum. It's been a long time since you faced the consequences, but it's high time to fix your attitude."

Cece attempted to mediate, saying, "Sam, wait, not today. I'll talk to her. Eve, let's..."

Cece's statement was abruptly interrupted by the ice-cold tone of Ed, who directed sternly, "Eve, in your room. Right. Now."

Wide-eyed, Eve understood the gravity of the situation. Ed was fuming. She took a hesitant step back and said, "I'm going to change."

Ed added, "Yes, you are going to change. But before that, I'll address this little misbehavior of yours."

As Eve retreated to her room, Ed removed his blazer, placing it on the sofa, and loosened his tie. Determined to address Eve's behavior, he went upstairs and entered her room, where Eve stood uncertain about the consequences that awaited her.
