DESCRIPTION :
there's these voices in my head but they're not, they're dead and following me around to my newfound ghost town
EXTENDED :
when the ghosts manage to defy the prison that is the underworld and come up to the mortal world, they involuntarily flock to emiko izumi. she's never known why or how she could see the ghosts; she's just known that she could always see them. that ability isn't a blessing, the furthest from it; she'd watched a ghost kill her father when she was five and since then she's been wandering in a town full of ghosts that linger behind her every step she takes, every move she makes.
by a town full of ghosts, she literally means a ghost town. mainly because whenever she becomes close to a person, somehow, some way, they always end up dead. whether by a ghost or by some unexplainable reason, people are killed because of emiko izumi and it's the worst thing to ever happen to her. she's basically alone, only surviving because the ghosts have to listen to her. they bring her food and shelter and company because they obey her every wish but for them to leave her alone.
then, one day, the government takes her. she's asleep and they take her and they try and interrogate her but the ghosts disrupt their every move and disturb them so much that they don't even bother and send her to the wilderness school. emiko isn't sure about this decision, but the ghosts are quieter because one voice drowns them all out: leo valdez. he ingrains himself into her life even if she doesn't want him to but the ghosts don't kill him so she lets herself have one thing in her life. at least, until the world takes him away from her because the world has never liked emiko izumi, the girl touched by death, the girl wronged by everyone and everything.

— but this is a plot that i came up with like a month ago mostly because i wanted another leo plot because i only have one leo fic. that's criminal.
— and i'm giving it away because i don't have much inspo for it...oops
— tell me why these are the quotes i have for them in my cast "you i-zum-ied into my heart." "never talk to me again." i think it's supposed to be a pun that emiko zoomed into leo's heart...yeah i'm so not funny
— so sunshine x grumpy core. they're also friends to lovers i think idk i didn't develop the plot much
— emiko's obviously the grumpy in this relationship let's be fr. her experiences have made her an antisocial, shy person who doesn't really know how to act like a normal person, but under leo's supervision she slowly learns. she's still shy but she's more open to him and idk you could probably develop her personality more
— the ghosts don't kill leo because he's a demigod. the ghosts that follow emiko around kill and scare and haunt mortals but not anyone affiliated with the demigod world. they will kill monsters for her though, especially when she's sleeping in the streets and vulnerable
— i don't actually know if she would speak english well?? like she's japanese but obviously she doesn't have to be if you change her faceclaim and name and stuff so she spoke japanese because of her dad but then the ghosts came and killed him and like maybe the ghosts taught her english??? but the ghosts come from like different cultures and countries and they come and go so she could be like a master at languages yk but she could also speak like shakespearean english as well lol
— i don't know if she and nico would like each other or not. like they're kinda the same person just genderbent but also like...idk. they probably would but it'd be interesting if they didn't really know / like each other
— leo would call her emi or koko or something. omg koko gives me flashbacks...but yeah he would
— izumi is actually such a cute last name i honestly have a friend with that last name but like still i wanna use it but iM GIVING AWAY THIS PLOT WENXEMNFKD
