On the Beach

I was on the beach while Pearl and Amethyst were playing checkers against one another and Steven was throwing water balloons at the losers

Amethyst: moves a piece "Ha! Take that!" Dragonstone was laying on his side beside her

Pearl: "Wow, Amethyst, I'm impressed." A water ballon hit her head as Steven was sitting on a lifeguard chair

Steven: "Now it's your move, Pearl!"

Pearl: looks up at him "Steven, are the water balloons really necessary?"

Steven: "Yeah! This way the moves really matter."

Pearl: "But it's checkers. Every single move matters."

Amethyst: while twirling her hair "It looks like someone's being a sore loser."

Pearl: groans in frustration "I'm not a sore loser..." moves her piece "because I just won the game"

Amethyst: "Whaaaa? Here it comes" she lifts her arms expectantly as water balloons pelt her and Dragonstone claps while beside her "Ahh, it feels good to lose." Sits up

Pearl: clears her throat "I certainly hope that's not the attitude you have during battle" she said with her arms crossed while Dragonstone just rolled his eyes and laid on his back

Amethyst: "You're no fun anymore. This is why we never form Opal." Dragonstone opens his eye with his interest piqued

Pearl: leans slightly over by the hip "We don't form Opal because you're difficult and a mess."

Amethyst: points and gets in pearls face "We don't form Opal because you're uptight and-..."

Steven: slides down his seat and gets between them "Guys! Guys! What is Opal!?!" Dragonstone sits up

Amethyst: "It's basically Pearl and me merged together." She locked her fingers

Pearl: scoffs "Is water just hydrogen and oxygen "mashed together"?"

Amethyst: "Uh..." Dragonstone opened on of his eye eyes and looked at them

Dragonstone: "It's not." I sat up with my legs crossed and spoke to Steven "Listen. When two gems synchronise they can merge together into a powerful fusion gem named Opal."

Amethyst: "Except I don't dance like Pearl does." She had her arms crossed

Pearl: "Amethyst!"

Steven: "Wow! That's so cool! But tell me more about Opal!"

Amethyst: to Steven "Well, Steven, she an ultra-powerful, stone-cold Betty. That's part me. And she's, like, kind of tall. That parts Pearl."

Pearl: "What Amethyst is trying to say is...Opal is an amalgam of our combined magical and physical attributes fused into a single entity." She put her hands together

Steven: moved over to Pearl and grabbed her hands "Wow! Can you do it right now? Come on! Form Opal!"

Amethyst: "Pfff!" She blue her fringe up

Pearl: "We only form Opal when it's absolutely necessary." The beach house lit up catching their attention

Steven: "Garnet's back!" He ran into the beach house with the other two following and Dragonstone walked at his own pace

Location; Inside the Beach house

Steven: "Ooh! Ooh! Did you bring me anything?" Garnet handed him a rock Whoa! A rock!" He walked off "Thanks, Garnet!
