Shira :

As I met Allmer's gaze once more, I saw a flicker of something in his eyes, a glimmer of hope and possibility that sent a thrill of anticipation coursing through my veins.

And then, unexpectedly, Allmer rested his head gently on my shoulder, his arm wrapping around my waist in a tender embrace. I stiffened slightly at the touch, not entirely accustomed to such intimate contact. But his touch was gentle, reassuring, a silent promise of safety and security.

"Thank you for trusting me. You won't regret it," Allmer whispered softly, his warm breath sending shivers down my spine as his nose brushed against the sensitive skin of my neck. I couldn't help but shiver at the sensation, my heart racing with a mixture of anticipation and nervousness.

"Are you afraid of me?" he asked huskily in my ear, his hot breath sending tingles down my spine. His voice was filled with gentle curiosity as he slowly met my gaze. His question hung in the air between us, his red eyes narrowed, searching mine for any sign of hesitation or fear.

I met his gaze with determination, my resolve unwavering. "Your snake form, yes, very. But you, no," I replied honestly, my voice steady despite the fluttering of butterflies in my stomach. This close to Allmer, I couldn't help but marvel at his unique beauty-the delicate features of his pale skin contrasting with the intensity of his clear red eyes.

A flicker of concern passed through Allmer's eyes at my words, his brows furrowing slightly as he studied my face. "You aren't afraid I'll hurt you?" he asked, his voice tinged with a hint of curiosity.

The question hit me like a blow to the chest, stirring up a whirlwind of conflicting emotions within me. Did he really think I doubted his intentions? Did he think I saw him as a threat? The thought was almost too consuming.

"Will you?" I asked him, my voice barely above a whisper, my heart pounding in my chest as I waited for his response. The mere thought of Allmer causing me harm was a nightmare I couldn't bring myself to face. I had come to trust him so much, even more than Ace, though Ace keeps warning that Allmer is hiding few things from me.

But as I looked into his eyes, I saw nothing but sincerity and compassion reflected back at me. He leaned forward, his lips brushing against my forehead in a gentle kiss, his touch sending waves of warmth and reassurance coursing through me.

"Never, little one," he whispered, his voice filled with unwavering conviction as he met my gaze. "Never. I'll always only protect you."

His words were like a balm to my soul, easing the fear and uncertainty that had been gnawing at me. He reached for my hand, his fingers intertwining with mine.

"Together, right?" Allmer asked, a slight smile playing on his lips as he met my gaze.

I nodded, a smile tugging at the corners of my lips.

"So, mind telling me now who hurt you?", Allmer's voice, which was so gentle just seconds ago, was dead serious now, his face sharp and focused, waiting for my answer.
