"What the fuck?"

I quickly stood up from my seat to come near him.

"Yow, watch your words," He said and pointed his finger on my forehead.

"Says the one who said fuck you in the Hospital,"

Claid's easygoing demeanor faltered for a moment, his expression shifting from playful to slightly sheepish as he recalled our previous encounter.

"Yeah, about that..." he began, his voice trailing off as he searched for the right words. "I may have been a bit... out of line."

I raised an eyebrow, crossing my arms over my chest as I regarded him skeptically. "A bit? That's putting it mildly," I retorted, unable to suppress a small smirk at his admission.

Claid chuckled, scratching the back of his neck in a gesture of sheepish apology. "Okay, maybe I was way out of line. My bad."

"Yeah, Yeah. So what are you doing here? Aren't you supposed to message me and ask if I'm free right now or what?" Sabi ko at pinaningkitan siya ng mata. Basta-basta na lang kasi siyang punupunta eh busy nga ako. Nakakainis tuloy, kakapasok ko pa lang ng trabaho, aabsent agad.

"Oh... Am I supposed to do that?" He said, clueless. Ano ba 'to? Tao ba siya? Bakit hindi niya alam?

"Seriously? I'm busy right now so maybe next time,"

"I told you, I'm a very busy person too. Next time won't happen anymore so I'll just wait you... right... here," umupo siya sa upuan sa harap ng mesa ko at ikrinos ang mga paa. Wow! Boss?

I couldn't help but roll my eyes at Claid's audacity, but a small smirk tugged at the corners of my lips. "Well, suit yourself," I replied, shaking my head in amusement.

Claid flashed me a mischievous grin, leaning back in his chair with an air of nonchalance. "I'm in no rush. I've got all the time in the world," he said casually, his confident demeanor never faltering.

I couldn't deny the underlying charm in his words, despite his cocky attitude. With a playful eye roll, I turned back to my work, silently wondering how I always managed to get caught up in Claid's antics.

"You're so scary when you're serious" agad napaling ang atensyon ko sa kaniya na ngayong nakapatong ang mukha sa nakapatong nitong siko sa mesa ko. How long has he been staring at me like that?

I couldn't help but feel a slight flutter of annoyance at Claid's comment, but I kept my expression neutral as I glanced up at him. "And you're so charming when you're not being insufferable," I retorted, unable to resist a playful jab.

Claid's grin widened, his eyes sparkling with amusement. "Ah, so you do find me charming after all," he teased, his tone laced with mock surprise.

I rolled my eyes, suppressing the smile that threatened to betray my facade of annoyance. "Don't get ahead of yourself. I said 'charming,' not 'irresistible,'" I replied, hoping to maintain some semblance of control in our banter.

Claid chuckled softly, a twinkle of amusement in his eyes as he leaned back in his chair. "Well, I'll settle for 'charming' for now. But who knows? Maybe one day you'll admit the truth," he remarked, his words carrying a hint of playful challenge.

I shook my head, unable to suppress a small laugh at his persistence. "We'll see about that," I said cryptically, turning my attention back to my work with a renewed determination to focus and ignore Claid's distracting presence.
