Keeping it discreet
Looking at my feet
Waiting for my chance to fleet
My heart skips a beat
We both know
that we should not go
down that route
where we just start to shout
I've seen the way you look at her
The same as you used to to me
We won't take this any further
We aren't meant to be
My finger feels heavier
But I keep the smile
Maybe no one knows
that I think I should go
I knew this day would come
I knew from the start I should run
I know I shouldn't act dumb
and now we're at square one.
