" I want to play in the lake, Ma!"

" Me too~ !"

"Oooh! Let's go!"

"No my darlings, that water isn't safe."

"Isn't safe? But you taught us to swim!!!"

"There are rumors that these waters mark you with death."

"The tide belongs to the wild cats, and those who enter will be killed; do you want to be taken away?"

"Daddy says that's just a story. Its not real!"

"Your father is a tom of arrogance; I am a believer. I believe they have more freedom than we could ever dream. They don't just survive; they thrive more than we ever could."

"But there are rules and boundaries we cannot cross, or we may be lost to one another. So listen to me dear kits. So that I may not lose you to the unknown."

❝ There are whispers of wild cats who lure others to their death just as as a siren lures sailors — drowning them in the foggy depths of Crater Lake. They are rumored to be cruel, blood thirsty, and thieves of the night; but how do we distinguish a simple myth from the truth that we can't prove? ❞

Many moons ago, a loner lost her kits to the water, washed away in the daunting current; one kit drowned and was unable to be saved, however the other two rescued and forever thought to be lost. And in the safety of where was considered to be a myth — a legend — the kit grew and thrived with a small group of natives.

As moons become years — the seasons come and go — they would come to see the rise of a second group and the fall of their chief;

And those two came to lead them, to carry on the traditions when their chief no longer could.

Their mother, their father, never seen again . . .

This LITERATE Roleplay follows two clans who are Native to a very real location in Oregan, homing around Crater Lake. We follow the story and Lore of ZENITHCLAN and ABYSSCLAN
