14 : Believe me

I get to her place in about 7 minutes
Cause I was driving a little over speed limit

   Ugh yeah I broke traffic rules

  She'd be so disappointed in, you always in the wrong

Oh boi, shake it off Jake

I knock on their front door and her mom opens

" Hey Jake" she greets me with a smile
That means she's not aware of what had happened
So I just simply play it off cool

" Hey Mrs Hart" I reply shifting on my feets
" I've told you Jake don't be so formal with me"

I just muster up a smile and subtly nod and then she lets me in

I'm about to take a seat when she says
" They're upstairs in her room"

         They ?

" That's why you're here right, coz I think something's wrong and she been up there all day, I dunno-"
" Don't worry mom everything's fine" I tell her trying to sound as convincing as I can

      Nothing is fine

But she doesn't need to know that

So with my heart beating erratically, I start up the stairs

Bella and Noah?

I get to her bedroom door and I'm about to knock but then it opens

   Elijah?
" Dude, w-what are you doing here"

He doesn't respond so I just take a step inside and what I see completely baffles me

  Her room is a mess, cardboard pieces laying around

     Lexi's not messy

And then I see it on her reading table

A big freaky doll house shit

But that's not what's got my attention
No
What's got my attention is the girl beside it
Who just looks up and straight into my eyes, then looks away

She looks okay infact
Very normal and regular Alex

That is for everyone else

But with just that passing glance I could see all the pain laying inside those brown orbs

  The pain that I caused
And it hurts me so much to see her this way again

I open my mouth to speak but she beats me to it

"Elijah please tell your friend to leave, the tension he's causing in here is way too thick for my liking, and I can't guess why" she says, her voice so plain and void of emotions

" Lexi I- "
" Leave" this time it's Noah who speaks

    Oh he's here too

" She doesn't want to see you so go away"

Okay he's angers kind of justified he's her brother
But still I need to explain

" Noah calm down" bella tells him and then she turns to me expectantly so when Noah places he's hand on my shoulder I have no choice but to comply

We walk out of her room and into the hallway, Noah and Bella following behind us

Once her door shuts I immediately turn around to face them and start speaking
