Is This... Gay Panic? No, Just Panic.

Jason's POV

"Percy? Hey, Percy? I think you need to-" Jason was halfway through his sentence when Percy suddenly rocked forward, almost falling off the bench. Jason lunged forward and caught him, his heart beating in his ears.

"Percy! Oh my gods, oh my gods, oh my fucking gods!" Jason stood up and quickly slipped Percy into his arms, bridal style. Percy was lighter than Jason had expected, but he wasn't as 'light as a feather', either.

Jason began to run towards the office since his phone was in his bag. If he went back to the cafeteria, that would cause a big commotion, and Percy might not get the help he needed. Glancing down at Percy, Jason thought he looked pretty fucking peaceful for having just passed out like that.

He's kind of... cute. *Gay panic sirens going of* Not now, Jason! Not fucking now!

Since Jason was on the football team, not to mention he was the captain as well, Jason could run pretty fast, even while carrying a person, if he did say so himself.

"Call an ambulance! Call a goddamn ambulance!" Jason yelled right before he burst through the office doors. The old ladies working at the front desks gave him sharp looks, before seeing the boy in Jason's arms. Their eyes quickly widened, and one screamed, before a lady scrambled to a phone, pressed three digits, and began a rushed conversation that Jason couldn't hear.

He walked over to a couch, and gently set Percy down. Jason suddenly thought, What if he's dead! Panictly, he put his hand to Percy's chest, relaxing when he felt a steady thump, thump, thump. Jason grabbed Percy's hand, almost desperately.

"Please be okay, Percy... please," Jason whispered, thinking of the family members that he had lost. Percy wasn't his family, no, and he had only known Percy as a friend for a short while... but Percy felt important to Jason. Like he was going to become a big part of Jason's life... like he was going to matter a lot to Jason.

Or I'm a dumbass who has no idea what he is talking about. ...Or it's my inner gay speaking.

Jason stayed like that for a while, just holding Percy's hand and hoping that he would be okay until Jason heard sirens rapidly approaching. Soon, a bunch of paramedics burst in, looked around, and rushed for Percy. They quickly put him on a stretcher and began jogging out of the building.

"Wait!" Jason said, addressing one of the paramedics. "Can I go with him?"

The paramedic gave him an odd look. "Are you his immediate family?"

"Well... I... No."

She shook her head. "Sorry, only immediate family members can come with. You can come to the hospital in about an hour, and see him then. If you come any sooner, they'll have you sit in the waiting room." And with that, she began to walk away.

Jason's head was spinning with worry, and he desperately wished he could be with Percy. Right now.

I guess... I'll have to make a call.
