Vidhi's pov

As the sun began its ascent, I catapulted out of bed with my usual gusto, eager to tackle the day head-on. My parents, Ritvik and Sonal, exchanged amused glances as I bounded into the kitchen, ready to take on the world.

"Arre Vidhi, aaj to mere or Suraj ke sar pe chadhe Bina hi uth gayi?" My mom's teasing remark echoed through the room, punctuated by her infectious laughter.

Rolling my eyes at her playful jab, I countered, "Maa, aap bhi na! Aaj subah jaldi college Jana hai bus isiliye !"

With a quick breakfast and a round of good-natured banter, I set off for university, my mind buzzing with a myriad of wacky thoughts and random musings. I couldn't help but chuckle at the absurdity of it all as I navigated the chaotic streets of Banaras.

As I neared our usual meeting spot, I couldn't ignore the somber expression on Saksham's face. "Saksham beta, baat kya hai? Aaj toh tumhara chehra bilkul dull hai!" I teased, a mischievous twinkle in my eye.

Saksham's response was less than enthusiastic, his frustration evident in his tone. "Vidhi, abhi time nahi hai for your bak-bak. I have important things on my mind."

"Dekho tum mujhe seedhe seedhe bata do nahi to main bol bol ke tumhare kan kha jaungi " I said putting my hands on waist.

"Class ke baad" came his short straight reply.

Undeterred by his grumpy demeanor, I nudged him playfully. "Chalo, chalo! Class ke liye late ho jaoge!"

Throughout the day, Saksham remained distant, lost in his own thoughts. My attempts at lightening the mood fell flat in the face of his solemn demeanor, leaving me feeling helpless and out of my depth.

It wasn't until our last class together that Saksham finally opened up, his words halting and raw with emotion. "Vidhi, meri maa papa ka divorce ho raha hai," he confessed, his voice barely above a whisper.

The weight of his revelation hung heavy in the air, how could it happen they were so happy few days ago and as much as I have spent time with them they both looked so in love .

the silence between us stretching taut with unspoken sorrow. "Saksham, main hamesha tumhare saath hoon," I whispered, reaching out to grasp his hand in a silent gesture of solidarity.

And in that moment, as we sat together in the dimly lit classroom, our hands clasped in silent understanding, I knew that our friendship was unshakeable, forged in the crucible of shared laughter, tears, and the occasional dose of weirdness. Together, we would navigate the turbulent waters of life, buoyed by the unwavering support of each other and the bonds of love and friendship that bound us.

As the weight of Saksham's confession settled over us, I couldn't shake the nagging question that lingered at the back of my mind. "Saksham, what went wrong that your parents are getting a divorce?" I asked, my voice soft with genuine concern.

Saksham's gaze fell to the floor, his shoulders slumping under the weight of his sorrow. "Vidhi, there are a lot of things... their relationship fell apart," he murmured, his words heavy with unspoken pain.

I felt a surge of empathy for my friend, the ache in his voice tugging at my heartstrings. "But why, Saksham?" I pressed gently, aching to understand the root cause of his family's turmoil.

Saksham hesitated, his thoughts a tumultuous whirlwind of conflicting emotions. "There wasn't enough time between them, not enough understanding," he confessed, his voice tinged with regret.

My heart went out to him, the realization dawning that even the strongest bonds could falter under the weight of neglect and misunderstanding. "Saksham, i'll always be here for you," I reassured him, squeezing his hand in silent solidarity.

And as we sat together in the hushed stillness of the classroom, I knew that though the road ahead would be fraught with uncertainty and pain, we would face it together, armed with the unbreakable bonds of friendship and the unwavering support of those who loved us.
