"I guess you already know how these things work" Charles said as he handed me a headset.

I was standing in the Ferrari garage, ready to watch the qualifying.

I nodded as I took the headset. "It's been a pretty long time but yeah I still know how to put these on" I joked.

"Don't run away after qualifying please" he asked softly, putting his hand on my arm. "Wait for me"

"I won't run" I smiled. "I can wait for a few hours"

He waited a year for me, the least I could do was wait a couple of hours on him.

He kissed my cheek, brushed his fingers against my arm and walked to his car.

Carlos also walked in the garage, he looked at me for a second, looked away and looked back at me.

He had to do a double take, as if he couldn't believe I was standing in Charles' garage.

"Keep your back straight" Arthur said as he stood next to me and tapped my back.

I immediately stood a little straighter. "I forgot how tiring it is to be a Ferrari wag" I sighed.

"First of all, you're not a Ferrari wag" he pointed out with a little chuckle. "Second, this isn't about that. You're a supermodel, so they're definitely gonna show you"

"Right" I nodded.

But we were only halfway through the qualifying and I forgot all about my posture already.

I was leaning on the table in front of us, my head resting on my hands.

And of course, just in that moment they decided to show me on the screen.

I smiled a little at the camera, but I wasn't gonna stand straight, it was too late either way.

The little description they put under my name made me laugh. 'Supermodel, ex-partner of Lando Norris'

It made Arthur laugh too. "I think they're confused on why you're standing in the Ferrari garage, next to me" he whispered.

"Because I am Lando Norris' ex-girlfriend" I whispered back.

I was happy Arthur was standing next to me, he made me feel welcome, while Charles did everything to make me feel at home.

Charles qualified P2, which was amazing. As for Lando - I don't know where he ended.

Okay, that's a lie, he qualified P6.

I walked out of the garage, on my way to the Mclaren hospitality.

Mind you - I wasn't looking for Lando. I wanted to see Piper. I swear.

I waited in front of the hospitality, too long not to feel awkward.

"Hi supermodel" Lando smiled. "And my ex-partner" he nudged me.
He was doing everything to make the tension between us disappear.

"Weren't you in the car when they showed that?" I raised my eyebrow.

He shrugged his shoulders. "I was on an outlap"

"And you had time to look at the screen in Monaco?"

"Yeah well - I'm a high performance athlete" he joked. "Were you waiting for me?"

"No, I was actually waiting for Pipes" I said.

He nodded. "Oh, okay she's -" he looked around, scrunched his nose and looked at me. "I actually don't know where she is"

"That's okay" I laughed. "You did a great job"

"Thanks" he smiled, looked down, bit his lower lip and looked back up at me. "So Charles invited you?"

"He did"

I saw Piper walking up to the hospitality, but as soon as she noticed us, she acted as if she desperately needed to talk to Oscar.

I did everything I could not to roll my eyes.

"So you guys are back to-" he started but I quickly shook my head. "We're just friends"

He nodded again.

"I really wanna talk to you before you leave" he licked the corners of his lips. He was nervous. "Explain things"

"I am free tomorrow evening" I said. "Perfect" he smiled a little.

"Then I'll see you tomorrow" his fingers brushed against mine. Very very softly. "Under the stars" he winked as he walked in the hospitality.

Fuck I didn't think this through. Lando in combination with the stars, was a pretty deadly match.
