I quickly turned around.
Julian was standing there with his usual smirk on his face. "Hello Nova"
But it couldn't be Julian, he was dead, he wasn't here. He couldn't be here.
I blinked a few times as I got up.
As soon as I got up the vision of Julian also disappeared.
It wasn't Julian. It wasn't him.
It was Jayden.
"You.." I mumbled.
"I was almost thinking you were happy to see me" he smirked.
I quickly grabbed my gun, pointing it at him. "I will fucking kill you"
"Yeah.." he said as he pointed his gun at me as well. "I wouldn't do that if I was you"
"Give me one reason" I said.
"Because you're out-powered" someone said, pointing another gun at me.
Billie.
Fucking Billie.
"What the fuck?" I looked at her. "Do you even know how to hold a gun?"
"Yeah I do actually" she chuckled. "Jayden taught me pretty well"
Oh fuck off.
"So tell me little Hayes..." Jayden interrupted us. "How long do you think it will take for Adam to find you?"
"Pretty quickly" I mumbled, but I guess he could hear the doubt in my voice.
Adam was good at being someone's right hand - but he definitely lost some power when Julian died.
"Yeah.. I doubt that" he clicked his tongue. "He couldn't even find me, you had to help him"
"Let's go before they realize she's missing" Billie looked at him.
He nodded at her, and I felt her gun against my back.
God this girl was so out of her league.
But then again.. so was I.

"You know.. I miss Julian too" Jayden said, he was sitting in front of me. That stupid little smirk still on his face.
He took me to a house, not my old one. Guess he wasn't that stupid.
"Oh shut up fool" I rolled my eyes.
"Always liked that mouth" he chuckled. "But no I actually do miss him, he made it a little challenging at least"
"Why did you kill him?"
A question that took him by surprise, even though it was a pretty obvious one.
"I didn't want to kill him" he pointed his gun back at me. "I wanted to kill you"
"He would've killed you if you killed me"
He narrowed his eyes. "See, there's where you are wrong" he tilted his head. "Julian was a lot of things, but he wasn't a killer - always wanted us to shoot in the legs or arms"
"Didn't he kill their dad?" Billie interrupted him.
Jayden looked at Billie. "That was a different Julian, before he went all soft" he looked back at me. "That became his death"
"So, are you guys dating or something?" I changed the subject. I wanted to buy time. Give Adam time to find me.
"Guess Lando and I have the same type" he simply said.
I snorted. "Shut up broccoli, he doesn't even remember having sex with her"
Probably a lie, but I didn't care at this point.
"But I remember" Billie walked up to me. "He's pretty big isn't he?"
"Yeah he is, much bigger than this french fry" I nodded at Jayden.
"Shut up bitch" he slammed his gun in my face. Blood streamed down my face.
Okay he broke my nose.
"Can I remind you that you don't have your brother to defend you anymore?" He grabbed his phone. "But hey, I will give Adam a little hint"
He typed something on his phone and looked back up at me.
"Can't wait to hit a homerun, killing both Hayes'"
