Helen was home doing laundry. She was about to hang Bob's sports coat when the phone rang. Bob yelled that he'd get it and picked it up in the den. Helen slyly picked up the bedroom phone anyway.

She heard a female voice say, "How soon can you get here?"

"I'll leave tomorrow morning," Bob answered quickly and then hung up.

"Who was that, honey?" Helen asked as Bob came out of his den. "The office?" Bob shrugged. "Another conference," he said. "Short notice, but duty calls." Bob smiled, but Helen was growing suspicious.

. . .

The next day, Mr. Incredible found himself back in the luxurious surroundings of the sleek jet. But this time, he was wearing his newly made and completely redesigned Super suit-dramatic, heroic, red-no cape. Mr. Incredible sipped his drink as the jet cut through the sky.

A voice came over the autopilot. "This is your automated captain speaking. It is currently seventy-eight degrees in Amity Park. Please fasten your seat belt. We're beginning our descent."

Mr. Incredible glanced out the jet's window as it began to drop. He could see the city of Amity Park coming up fast.

The jet settled to a landing on the top of the tallest building in the city.

"Hello, Mr. Incredible," Valerie said as the door opened. "Welcome back."

Valerie escorted Mr. Incredible to his quarters and told him to appear in the conference room at two o'clock.
