It was a sunny day today here in Forks, I came to school with my sister and when I was looking for Alice, Rose, or the other Cullens, they weren't there.

I was sitting inside the English class I was staring at this bright yet green plant next to me that was sitting on the window.

I looked around and no one was inside the classroom except for myself, I probably lost track of time.

But since something was bothering me inside my head, I faced the plant once again.

I took a deep breath and made sure no one was around me to see what I was gonna do, then I opened my palms, facing the leaves. I stare at it, focusing my thoughts and see what will happen.

Then a glowing red mist quickly shot out and destroyed the leaves, it turned into dust, a gasp came out from my lips as now the leaves and its branch were no longer alive.

But now it's dead

I swallowed the lump in my throat and looked down at my trembling hands, I was sure about what I saw.

It came throughout from me, I grabbed my bag and immediately exited the classroom without saying another word.

"Stella! "

I nearly jumped when hearing Angela's voice calling out for me. I turned around and put a fake smile on my face.

Feeling my heart hasn't stopped pounding on my chest, I could see the glory of excitement in Angela's eyes and expression

" guess what! Eric just asked me out to prom! " She says while holding my both hands

" congrats! I've always known you want him to be your date! " I replied, then I was taken back when she immediately hugged me tightly

almost knocking off the air from my lungs, although I couldn't help but not chuckle and hug her back

" come on! Let's find Bella and Jessica! " Angela grabbed my hand and dragged me out of the school with her, we walked around outside then finally saw the the two girls

" whenever the weather is nice the Cullen just disappear " I heard Jessica start, causing me to borrow my eyebrow

" what? Do they just ditch? "

" no, Mr. And Mrs. Cullen yank them out for hiking... Tried it with my parents, not even close " She continued then Angela rushed to them.

She was truly excited to be with Eric. When Jessica offered us to go out to Port Angeles to find dresses, surprisingly my sister wanted to go, when I knew she was not interested in these things.

I was gonna go to prom and Bella isn't, saying that she's gonna go to Jacksonville that weekend but I know she's lying.

After a few hours when our classes finished, the men and the girls headed to Port Angeles stores to find dresses

While Bella was with them, I was looking at my own.

The dresses were cheap and nice, luckily I have some money left in my wallet

I was searching for each dress that I wanted until I came across this beautiful dark red dress that I thought would look great on me. I looked at the size and it fit me, I didn't hesitate to walk to the counter and purchase it

The lady smiled at me and out inside a bag, handing it over to me as I thanked her and returned to the girls.

Then a group of guys walked past by, they stopped at the window when they saw Angela and Jessica

" oh god " She whispered and turned away from them as Bella rolled her eyes at the guys

" they're disgusting " She mumbled and above her notebook inside her bag.

When Jessica asks for her advice on what she thinks about the punk dress she wore, Bella says the same words she says about the other dresses they fit

" I just really want to go to this bookstore. Jill meet you guys at the restaurant? " she replies and grabs her bag

" I'll come with you," I said as my sister nodded

I said goodbye to the girls and left with Bella. As we only walked to the place she wanted to go in

" a bookstore? What book do you even want to read? " I can't help but not to ask as I heard Bella gook a deep breath

The sun was beginning to get low, and starting to get cold. I think it's best if we come to return quickly rather than be out in the dark here at Port Angeles

" I just searched something on the internet, it's about the Cullens... " My sister replies, I send her a look

" about them again? Do you don't believe the Cullens?— "

"I-I think they're not humans Stella, something inside of me is telling me that they're vampires " She cuts me off

And when hearing what she said caused shivers to run down my spine. Vampires? Pale-faces? Just like Jake told me

I swallowed the lump in my throat and decided to just be quiet when we arrived at the small local bookstore. There was a bunch of books stacked around, the place was comforting to say at least.

While Bella was looking for the book she needed, I was just looking around at the shelves when something caught my eye.

I had a hard time pulling it out and when I did, I coughed because it was covered in dust.

I held the book in my hand, looking down, and saw the unknown written words it said on the cover

But I can read it

'Dark Magic'

It looks very old and hasn't been opened for years, I flipped the pages and saw that none of the words inside was written alphabetically

but handwritten words with black ink. Some drawings on it looked very familiar to me.

" hey, I'll check this out. Did you see anything? "

I almost let out a scream when hearing my sister talk behind me again out of nowhere.

I can't help but not to roll my eyes and face her, sighing

" yeah, I saw this and I think it looks cool " I replied and showed her the old book in my hand, causing Bella to furrow her eyebrow

" what language is that? I can't even understand it. " She asks. Then I realized not all could read what it says.

When me and Bella paid for our books at the counter, the man didn't say anything but only looked up at us. And for a brief minute, he strangely looks at me.

Seeing the slight fear covering his eyes, he looked away because I could not even read him.

Nevertheless, me and my sister walked out of the bookstore and it was already dark outside, I looked through the trees and couldn't help but not to feel that someone was watching.
