It was peaceful. There were not enough words how express the peaceful yet blissful feeling I was in right now.

Being comforted and safe in my lover's arms

I lay on the couch with Carlisle, closely behind me as he had his arm around me. The radio is on, soft jazz music playing, and filling the quiet room. I smiled, feeling his kiss placed on my temples

" you're so beautiful " I heard him whisper those words again

I couldn't help but not to let out a small chuckle.

" you already told me that a few times," I said, causing him to throw his head back, laughing softly.

" And you know I meant it " He adds, as I hummed in response

getting myself more comfortable with him. I was shutting my eyes and feeling his warmth next to me, there were a few minutes of silence before he spoke again

" Stella, about your gif... I did some research and I think I could help you " Carlisle begins

causing me to open my eyes. I carefully sat up on the couch, as his arms were still wrapped around my lower waist. Pulling me closer, not wanting to let me go

"What did you find? " I asked

looking down at him as he met my eyes

" so many things for you " He simply replies

I let out a small chuckle as he tightens his arms around me. I took a deep breath and looked away from him

I opened my palm, and after a second, the familiar scarlet red mist glowed.

I stared at it quietly, it formed into a glowing ball as I played around with it with my hands.

" no one in my real parents has a gif, and I have no idea where I got this from. But I know it's called to do things " I said.

Then I quickly moved my hand to the side, the same time few of the books from the shelf flew into the air. Landing on the ground with a thud

" you look more alive and happier these past few days, someone is causing that huh? " Dad asks

We were both sitting inside the Carver Cafe here in the town again, our orders had already arrived and I was shoving this delicious burger inside my mouth. I was super hungry

I sent Dad a look as he chuckled at me, I placed the burger down on the plate as the front door opened and Bella walked in.

I saw Mike and the others having fun outside but I didn't mind them, Bella took a seat beside me as Cora came back

Looking sad as she leaned closer to our table.

" say, chief, the boys want to know " she begins.

As our eyes trailed to a bunch of middle-aged men at the text table, looking at us as Dad let out a sigh. Bella looked at me as I stayed quiet, eating my burger

" did you find anything down by Queets River today? " She continues.

Cora is a nice woman, I've known her for a long time since I stay often with Dad in Forks

and I know how close she is with Waylon. His death was a shock for her

Dad explained to Cora that they found human barefoot prints in the east, although there's not much evidence found yet to find the killer on the loose. Now that me and Bella know the Cullen's secret, the vampire's existence

We know vampires that are doing all of these killings. But we don't know who

As Dad and Bella were having a conversation together, I didn't butt in since noticing that Bella are now comfortably talking to Dad.

" so, Stella... Doctor Cullen, huh? "

Then I accidentally spit the water out of my mouth

causing some of the people inside the Cafe to look at us. My jaw dropped to the floor as I looked at Dad who found it amusing

" you know? " I asked him shockingly. I mean I was not gonna hide it from him forever

I just didn't know how he'd react since he had known Carlisle for so long now as the greatest doctor here in our town

"What? I'm happy for you, besides, you never bring boys into our house. And I guess this is the right time for you to love somebody else and explore, right? " Dad explains and places his hand on my shoulder. Causing me to smile at him as he turned to Bella

" and about you, young lady. You're still seventeen, are you sure Edward Cullen is the right one for you? " He asks, looking unsure as I chuckle at the both of them.

" Dad- we're just starting, okay? "

When it was the next day, I was getting ready since Alice and the others wanted me to go with them to baseball gameplay.

The weather was gloomy and cold outside as thunders cracked in the sky

I didn't know why they wanted to play baseball when it was almost near to raining. I tied my shoelaces and tied my hair into a ponytail.

At last, I grabbed my bag when I already heard muffled voices speaking downstairs.

Edward was the one who was gonna pick me, Bella, up from our house, but when I came downstairs

I froze in surprise when I saw Carlisle having a good time with Dad in the dining room. When he noticed I had come, he stood from his seat and smiled at me

" You're here? " I asked in surprise

at the same time I was over thrilled with happiness to see him again. I walked to his side as Carlisle placed his arm around my waist, pulling me closer to him as he placed a kiss on my temples

" of course, I wanted to surprise you, and I was just having a good conversation with Chief " Carlisle replies as Dad chuckles at us.

" I'm surprised he also watches my favorite football team, hey. Come visit here often " Dad offers. As I chuckled and shook my head

" I would like to " He replies.

Then we turned behind when we saw Bella and Edward walking in.

I smiled at the two of them as me and Carlisle decided to leave so they could have a private time together with Dad.

When we got outside of the house. I giggled and hugged Carlisle tightly, his scent masking all over me. He laughs and places kisses over my face
