THE BUS PARTED AT EIGHT FIFTY. The eighth grade field trip planned for long ago was finally happening, and all the kids were yelling on their way to the planetarium.

Ms. Tyte kept trying, but couldn't keep the volume down. Every time she got them to be silent, they started yelling again. Excitement traveled through the bus faster than the speed of light.

Lynn was on the last seats with Margo, who was happily telling her about what she missed last practice. Maddie and Paula sat further away, they promised they'd switch partners on the way back to be fair.

"We're playing against Francisco's team next week," Margo elbowed her, and Lynn rolled her eyes. "He said he missed you."

The athlete smiled. "I don't."

"C'mon! You guys used to work together a lot."

"It was winning-based," Lynn excused herself. "I told you I don't like him."

"Like him as in 'I don't find him attractive' don't like him or 'Jules Chung' don't like him?" Margo asked, and Lynn's sight unconsciously moved to where Jules was sitting.

She let her hair down that day, with a purple sleveless shirt and a beaded necklace that looked a lot like those candy ones Leni used to eat when she was younger. Lynn recognized Kaya next to her, actively getting her attention, and Jules responded with nods and then a surprised face at something.

"What exactly does that mean?" Lynn questioned, looking at Margo again.

"Y'know... you don't like him romantically or you hate him."

Oh, that.

Honestly, ever sice the blazer thing back at her house, everytime Lynn saw Jules at school her mind teleported back to that afternoon. Jules had even shared a family hug with the Louds, and now knew her entire house, so, was Lynn allowed to hate her? Was Jules a person she should hate?
