"YOU SHOULD CUT YOUR ENDS OFF," Amelia Chung spoke up, caressing a strand of her daughter's hair and stopping once her hand noticed the damage. "They're starting to split."

"I know," Jules said, brushing her hair, struggling at the end. "But I like the lenght."

"I can get you an appointment with Izzie, she'll know what to do," the woman scanned the hair, also enchanted with how long Jules had been keeping it for the past three years. "Ji-ae, don't you think it's time to-"

"I'm not going back to black," Jules interrupted, harshly fighting with a know formed at the very end, contemplating wether she should try a different hair mask this weekend.

"But you look so pretty like that," the woman complimented with a pout. "It lightens you up."

"No, mom, it makes me sickly pale."

"You used to like black hair a lot, what happened?"

"I got bangs," Jules shrugged, glossing over the fact the got told she looked exactly like Amelia and it hurt her pride considering their backstory.

"Well, grow them out."

Jules pursed her lips. "I can grow the split ends out and then cut them."

"Ji-ae, it's not just the ends, your hair is starting to get fried. I think you need to give it a rest for some time," the woman tried a nice approach, knowing how irritable Jules could be sometimes.
