As I strolled towards my magnificent penthouse building, my steps echoed through the opulent lobby adorned with marble floors and cascading chandeliers,It's been few months since I moved here and I still can't even believe that I live here now... Well that's what gets you 17 years of working non stop as a doctor, I felt a sense of pride lengere in my chest.

My eyes widened as I observed the graceful figure gliding across the lobby, draped in an ensemble that exuded an air of enigmatic allure. Her attire, a symphony of deep, midnight black fur intertwined with silky black dress , seemed to whisper secrets of a hidden world. Enthralled by the enigmatic elegance, I couldn't help but feel a pang of admiration for the mysterious woman who effortlessly commanded attention with each step, leaving an aura of intrigue in her wake.
As I entered the elevator, she entered with me, I was nervous by her being beside me, my confidence radiating like a beacon. Suddenly, nerves tingled as I struggled to find her composure in her presence . Exiting the elevator, I realized with a mix of surprise and delight that she lives in the apartment directly across from mine, she entered her apartment and I entered mine.

As I stepped through the front door, fatigue weighed heavy on my shoulders, each step a laborious effort. Yet, beneath the weariness, a subtle glow adorned my face, hinting at a day that, despite its challenges, held moments of triumph. With a weary smile, I kicked off my shoes, shedding the burdens of the day with each one. The warmth of home enveloped me, soothing tired muscles and easing the strains of the day. Though tired, there lingered a quiet contentment, a sense of fulfillment that whispered promises of rest and renewal in the embrace of familiar surroundings.

As I closed my eyes, a rush of memories flooded back-the soft touch of his lips against mine, the gentle warmth that enveloped me, and the electric sensation that pulsed through my body. Each detail was etched in my mind, from the way his hand cradled my cheek to the way our breaths danced together in harmony. It was a kiss that lingered long after our lips had parted, a fleeting moment of pure bliss that I would carry with me always. It was truly magical..... "Ugh stop it Emma" , I said to myself. "You're acting like a teenager, you're a 42 years old woman. Act like an adult."
But I can't get him out of my mind. Would he call me? I gave him my number . should I call him ? Ugh stop it Emma you're doing it again. But he's so hot... I can't help but mentally debate the seven-year age gap between us, reassured yet slightly unnerved by the fact that he was indeed around my age. " 7 years isn't that much, Right ?, he's just 7 years older than me...,its not that big of an age gap. " I muttered to myself , trying to rationalize my feelings.
My thoughts were consumed by Vladim, the man I just kissed and found myself inexplicably drawn to, Despite my inner dialogue, I couldn't deny the flutter in my stomach whenever I think of him , his name lingered on my lips like a secret I couldn't quite keep. The allure of his Russian charm and the intensity of his gaze left me unable to resist the magnetic pull I felt towards him....I should probably stop thinking about him now, its late I should go to sleep, I have to wake up early tomorrow.

As rested my head on my pillow I couldn't help but think of him one last time before I closed my eyes and fell in a deep sleep from being so tired.

The next day :

A morning dawned in a serene palette of winter hues, with soft tendrils of mist weaving through the frost-kissed air. The sun, a timid visitor in the cold season, cast a gentle glow upon the world below, illuminating the delicate lacework of snow on branches and rooftops.

As the morning unfolded a tranquil hum of an office environment. The workers, cocooned in the warmth of their tasks, moved with a rhythmic grace, their keystrokes punctuating the stillness. Yet, the tranquility shattered as one among them received the dreaded call: the boss had arrived.

Panic rippled through the office like a sudden gust of wind, as papers were hastily gathered and desks tidied. The clock, seemingly in collusion with time itself, had stealthily ushered in the late hour of 9:30 AM.

Outside, a sleek black Rolls Royce glided to a stop in front of a majestic skyscraper adorned with sleek glass panels, soaring into the sky amidst the bustling streets of New York City, From within emerged a figure, adorned in black heels with a gold bottom, exuding an aura of authority. With purposeful strides, she navigated the lobby, her presence commanding attention.

Upon entering the elevator, the atmosphere shifted. As the doors closed, anticipation hung thick in the air. When they reopened, revealing the woman within, she had warm brown eyes, soft brown hair and a snow-white skin, her striking appearance gave way to an intense gaze that could freeze the bravest soul.

Workers converged from all sides, their inquiries met with curt responses :

- "Morning boss. I need your input on the budget report." A worker said

- "Send it over. I'll review it before my meeting." She Answered

- "Boss! Can we reschedule the team meeting? I have an emergency this afternoon." Another one said

- "No. Make it work. Meeting stands."

- "What about the client call later?"A Third worker asked

- "I'll handle it. Focus on your tasks. "

-" And What about your interview with New York times at 11AM ?"

- "Reschedule it. we have work to do ."

- "Boss! I've made progress on the marketing campaign. We're on track to launch next in 5 days."A fourth worker implied

-"Make it 3. How is the budget analyzing going?" She asked

- "I've been working on the budget analysis for the next quarter. It's almost ready for review."

- "Almost ? Its supposed to be done by today." She said in a chilling tone

- "We tried really hard to have it done by....."

-"You're not working hard enough we need results, people. And get me Clara." She yelled . Her voice echoed threw the halls

Dialogue crackled with urgency and deference as As she briskly walked through the office corridors, her focus solely on reaching her office.

Upon entering her office, the facade softened momentarily ,but then she halted abruptly, her eyes widening in surprise at the sight of a large bouquet of vibrant red roses adorning her desk. The stern expression on her face got replaced by a flicker of curiosity and intrigue. As she approached her desk, her eyes fell upon a note nestled among the blooms, a chilling sensation crept up her spine as she discovered that it is a love note, written in a handwriting both obsessive and unsetteling that says :

"My dearest obsession,
In the shadows, where secrets entwine like lovers' whispers, I watch. Every breath you take, every move you make, fuels the flames of my desire. Your essence, a tantalizing enigma that consumes my very soul.
Know this, my darkling muse, you are mine to protect and possess, a jewel in the crown of my clandestine empire. Surrender to the intoxicating allure of my twisted romance, for in the realm of shadows, there is no escape from the depths of our infernal love.

Yours eternally,

[Anonymous]"

Her confusion mingled with a hint of fear as she read the words, each sentence dripping with an unnerving intensity.Frozen in place, her thoughts whirled with questions and apprehension, her mind racing to comprehend the implications of the disturbing message. Before she could gather her wits, a sharp knocking on the door shattered the eerie silence of her office, sending a jolt of alarm through her trembling frame....
