Thaeron stopped in front of a tent and cleared his throat while he turned toward us. "Here we are," he said and bowed his head. "We are at Yala so that you can get your foot healed." He looked at Alesea.

Alesea nodded and grimaced while she leaned against me some more, even though I had a feeling that she didn't want to. "Good," she said. She looked at me and slowly blinked, masking her pain. "I can go in by myself. You don't need to come in with me."

"No," I said and shook my head, instantly, not liking the idea of leaving her alone. "We can all go in and make sure that you are safe."

Alesea bit back a small sigh before she shook her head. "You don't need to, Peter," she said, calling me by my new name. "You have a sister to look after that needs you, and I am sure that she wants to get some more sleep."

"She will be safe here without you," Thaeron said, and I looked at him with a set jaw. He bit back a small smirk and bowed his head, and I couldn't help but narrowed my eyes and set my jaw tighter. "You don't have to worry about her."

"Listen to him, please," Alesea said and grabbed my hand tighter and placed more of her body weight on me. "Let me go on my own."

"But you are barely able to stand as it is, Alesea," I said and looked at her, feeling the need to protect her, especially since I did not know why Thaeron was here nor did I trust him to be near her or my sister. "Let us go in."

Alesea set her jaw and pulled herself off of me. She stood on her own and was able to mask her pain slightly, but I could tell that she didn't like it.

"A-"

"I am going in by myself, Peter," she said, interrupting me. "I will catch up with you three later. I promise." She bowed her head a little before she looked at me again.

"Come on, Peter," Delilah said, her voice barely above a whisper. "Let's go and see where we are staying. Like she said, she will catch up with us later. Please?"

I closed my mouth and looked at Alesea before I looked at Delilah to see that Raul had tucked her behind him. I pressed my lips into a thin line while I looked at them and stayed silent, not knowing what to do.

I knew that my sister needed some more sleep and knew that I was going to need it too, even though I had no idea if I would be able to fall asleep or not.

"Please?" Delilah asked, and I bit back a small sigh before I slowly nodded, relenting.

"Are you sure that you can enter by yourself?" I asked while I looked at Alesea again and raised an eyebrow in question.

Alesea nodded in confirmation, even though she didn't move that far away from me like I thought she would. "I will be able to," she said, even though I could hear the doubt in her voice. "You don't have to worry about me."

I bit back a small sigh before I slowly nodded and set my jaw. "Ok," I said but I grabbed her arm when she started to stumble, and she grabbed my arm again. "Are you sure that you can do this by yourself?"

Alesea bit back a small snort but nodded. She clutched my arm tighter and set her jaw, her jaw quivering. "Let go of me, Peter," she said again, and I hesitated before I did what I was told to do.

My Fated took a deep breath before she released it with a small, whoosh and let go of my arm. She tried to take a step forward and started to fall, and I had a feeling that she didn't know if she would be able to catch herself or not without any help, and I wasn't going to let her fall.

I grabbed her arm before she could fall and twisted her around until she was facing me, and she placed her hand on my shoulder to balance herself.

She gasped and grabbed my shoulder tighter, staring at me with wide eyes and looking shocked.

"Are you ok?" I asked while I furrowed my brows and cocked my head while I studied her.

Alesea didn't say a word while she slowly nodded with her eyes wide and filled with fear, and her face grew pale while her bottom lip quivered.

Thaeron cleared his throat and took a step forward, and subconsciously, I moved Alesea away from him, making sure to put myself between them while I looked at him with narrowed eyes. "I-"

The tent opening stopped him from talking, and an older lady with a stooped back stepped out, leaning on a cane. "No. no," she said and shook her head. "I can help her into my tent," she said while she hobbled over to us. "You are to help our guests get settled in for the evening. Isn't that right, Dear?" She looked at him and raised an eyebrow in question, and Thaeron narrowed his eyes and scowled.

After a while, Thaeron cleared his throat and nodded, breaking eye contact first. "Of course, Yala," he said, his voice dark and filled with annoyance. "I am supposed to lead them to where they are staying for the time being."

"Then you can do that," Yala said. She smiled at Alesea and held out her hand. "Here you go, Sweetheart," she said. "Take my hand, and I will be able to lead you in there." She looked at me and smiled. "If that is ok with you, of course," she said and winked teasingly.

I offered her a hesitant smile, feeling very relieved that she was there and able to help out Alesea because I was not going to let Thaeron help her, no matter how much he wanted to do it. "Of course," I said and looked at Alesea. "Are you ok with that?"

Alesea nodded in confirmation. She pressed her lips into a thin line while she looked between the two of us before he looked at me again. "I am," she confirmed before she hesitated. "Can you help me?" she asked.

Can you help me walk over to her..?

I nodded and twisted her around until I was able to help Alesea lean against Yala, surprised about how strong the other female was.

Yala made sure that Alesea was next to her and steady before she looked at me with a small smile on her face. "We can talk later," she said while she bowed her head before she looked at me again. Your Highness.

I bit the inside of my lip while I narrowed my eyes at her before I scowled. I didn't say a word while I stared at her, not knowing how she knew that I was the Prince, and Yala smiled and bowed her head before she looked at Alesea, clearing her throat.

"Now, let's go ahead and get inside, yes? Let's get your foot healed so that you can do whatever you need to do, ok?" She raised an eyebrow in question, and Alesea hesitated before she nodded.

"Ok," she said and cleared her throat. She looked at me and raised an eyebrow in question. "Will I be able to see you again?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper, and I nodded in confirmation.

"You will," I said and nodded again. "Raul will find you and show you where we are staying for the time being. Ok?"

Alesea looked at Raul before she looked at me and set her jaw. She didn't say a word while she nodded, and I could tell that she was relieved.

"I c-"

"No," Yala and I said, interrupting Thearon again.

"Thank you, but Raul will be able to do it," I said while I looked at him and raised an eyebrow in question. "Right?"

Raul looked between the two of us before he nodded, hesitating. "I will show her where you two are staying for the evening," he said. "However..." He trailed off and looked at me with a pointed look that I understood all too well.

You will need to stay where I put you without any complaint while I do so.

I bit back a small smirk and nodded. "Of course," I said.

Yala chuckled and nodded. "Now, with that covered, let's get you taken care of, ok?" She looked at Alesea and raised an eyebrow in question.

Alesea nodded while she looked at Yala. "Ok," she said.

And with that, both Yala and Alesea went into Yala's tent with Thaeron, Raul, and I watching them, my heart being taken with her while she exited my sight but not my mind.
