Y/N's POV

I could feel the panic rising inside me as my older brother Colby and I sat huddled together in the dark basement of the Conjuring House. The only source of light was the faint glow from the music box and REM pod on the floor in front of the stairs, both going off at irregular intervals. My heart was racing in my chest as I listened to the eerie sounds and felt the tension in the air.

Outside, Sam was conducting his investigation, trying to communicate with any of the seven soldiers that may be lingering outside. I had begged him not to go alone, but he insisted that he needed to do this alone. I trusted him, but the fear gnawed at me, knowing the dark history of this place.

Suddenly, Sam's voice crackled through the radio we had set up for communication. "Guys, I can see a figure standing in the window of the house. It's not moving, just watching. Be careful." His words were crackled by the static, but i could tell he was petrified. The message sent a shiver down my spine, and I clutched Colby's hand.

"Sam, we need to get this done with, I'm gonna play the Latin, and then when you're ready, we should do the prayer. We need to get out of here." Colby spoke into the radio, as I started shaking, resting my head on Colby's shoulder.

"Yeah okay, play it, then I'll tell you when." Sam replied with worry evident in his voice.

Colby pulled out his phone and started playing a Latin prayer. The words echoed in the basement, sending chills down my spine. We both knew the danger we were in, and we needed to protect ourselves.

"We need to say the prayer now," I whispered to Colby, my voice shaking, as the Latin ended. He nodded, ans grabbed the radio ready to tell Sam.

"Sam, we're starting it now." I spoke into the radio, and we both started reciting the words, hoping for protection from whatever may be lurking in the shadows.

"Amen." As we finished the prayer, the music box and REM pod both went off simultaneously, causing us to jump in fright. I quickly grabbed the my phone, and left the rest of the equipment, as did Colby, ready to leave this place behind.

"I-I think we're done here," I said into the radio, waiting for a response from Sam. But there was nothing but static on the other end.

"Sam, baby, are you there?" Panic gripped me as I tried to reach him, but there was no response.

Colby and I both stood up, ready to make a run for it, when the music box and REM pod went off again, louder than before. We both rushed up the stairs and to the basement door, trying to open it frantically, but it wouldn't budge.

"Sam, baby! Help!" I screamed, my voice desperate as I pounded on the door. And then, miraculously, the door swung open, revealing an out of breath Sam on the other side, a look of relief on his face.

"My radio completely died and shut off, it was on 30% though," Sam explained, his voice filled with worry. We took a break, as we discussed our experiences with each other, the we stood up and without another word, we grabbed the equipment. We opened the door to the house, and we all started laughing, running to the car as the rain was pouring down on us like a waterfall. Sam grabbed my hand as he opened my car door for me, ushering me to get in, which I did, and I thanked him, as he opened his own door to the car.

As we got in the car, I sat in the back, as Sam sat in the driver's seat with Colby next to him. We decided to end the video, as we had all the evidence we needed, but I knew that night and experience would never leave my mind.
