Nora rushed past shipwrecks and kelp forests. Her heart raced as she swam.
She couldn't understand what was happening. It happened before. That's why she had to leave.
Sins of her past were catching up with her.
She came to a halt as a shadowy figure materialized in front of her.
"May I help you?" The figure tilted their head.
Nora ignored this random person and rushed past them.
Once again, the figure appeared before her.
It had a long eel like body and glowing light blue eyes.
"Who-"
"It won't matter."
"What are you?"
"Of the deep."
"That isn't an answer!" Nora snapped.
"Oh, but it is! Didn't you pay attention in school, young one?"
"I didn't - why does that matter?"
"The serpent of Mara, perhaps?"
"The punisher ring a bell?"
"Stop being so cryptic and just tell me!"
