Chapter - 3

I walked out the sullys hut to see mum calling me over.

"Hey Mum"

"Hey honey can you watch the calf so I can help the mother please" she said while looking at the mother

"Yeah sure" I said while calling over the calf

He came over looking a bit nervous. I looked him in the eye and saw the fear he had in his eyes. I let him know he was safe and started playing with him, he soon caught on to what I was trying to do. He then splashed me with his tale. I laughed at this and he seemed happier all ready. We played a bit and he was swimming around and playing with me. I then threw a shell and he went and got it and brought it back to me. That shocked me alot, I threw it again and he went and got it again. I laughed and kept throwing it. I then saw something blue aout of the corner of my eye. I turned to see Neteyam staring at me, I smiled at him and walked over to him with the calf following me.

"Hey neteyam" I said walking over to him

"Hey" he said jumping in the water "he seams happy" he said looking at the calf

"Yeah he is, you know he like chasing shells" I said turrning to him

"Really" he said surprised

"Yeah watch" I said said as I threw a shell and he went to get it

"Thats so funny" he said laughing

"Yeah" I said laughing as he came back

He swam around neteyam and pushed him into me, making me catch him as he fell. We both started laughing.

"Can I throw it?" he asked

"Sure" I said handing him the shell

He threw it but it slipped off the tip of his fingers and didn't go very far. He just laughed as did I.

"Oi neteyam we gotta go" said Lo'ak coming out the hut

"Okay coming" he said still laughing "are you coming" he asked

"No sorry, I have to help my mother" I said and he looked a bit sad

"Okay maybe tomorrow" he asked

"Yeah probably" I said smiling as he left

Just then the calf nudged me.

"What" I said laughing as he looked up at me " oh alright" I said throwing the shell

"Hey Kia'ra" shouted mum

"Yeah" I shouted back

"Can you get Tisreya for me please" she asked

"Yeah sure" I said walking back up to the beach

I walked along the sand to the ilu part of the beach. I saw them about waist deep in the water. I walked over to were Tisreya was helping Neteyam .

"Hey T"

"Oh hey Kia'ra" she said turning to face me

"Mum wants you, I have no idea why, before you ask"

"Okay can you help neteyam while i'm gone"

"Sure" I said walking closer to where neteyam was with an ilu

"Is it hard" he asked a bit concerned

"We'll bonding with ilu is a lot easier than bonding with a SkimWing" I said shruging

"That makes me feel better" he said laughing

"Hope so because I have no idea what to do" I said as he looked at me
