When someone gets revived, depending on who revived them get a permanent mark on them (Think of it like those hot metal burn marks that people use to brand someone or a birthmark). For example, when Dream revived Tommy and Wilbur his mark was his signature smiley face. The mark is placed where the cause of death was like for Tommy, his is on his forehead. And for Wil, his Is on his back (cuz that's where the sword fully went through his stomach).
