The Marauders were joking around in the common room making so much noise not aware of Remus's moodiness.
"Dickheads!" Remus got their attention "Shut up" his head was killing him.
Sirius was the first one to do it and look at him, in a week Moony could transform into a werewolf so his irritated attitude was justified "Hey have you read about the Wolfsbane Potion? it's very effective..."
He was cut off by Moony "We talked about it... it's expensive" he sighed knowing he couldn't afford it.
I was at a table alone behind all of them just studying for the upcoming Herbology quiz but I paid attention to what Sirius and Remus were talking about. I always knew he was a werewolf because of his scars but I never said anything at first because I was a transferred student that just moved out recently and because of that I didn't know anyone.
I just pretended to study and hear what they were talking about, his friends were trying to convince him to accept their own money so he could have the option but for some reason, he was refusing.
Sirius gave his best pitch to persuade him, "Look Moony, we know what you are going through each month and frankly, we don't want to imagine how hard it is dealing with the pain. Please get the potion, we are offering it to you with no strings attached. you won't be alone while transforming, we'll be there for you." he added, "just think about it"
James, without skipping a beat, supported the idea with a smile on his face and the others joined in nodding their heads in agreement.
*it could be nice to have those friends* I thought they were very supportive of his friend and even smiled inside for it.
I understood too why Remus didn't want to accept, maybe because of his pride or feeling like a burden but I think he should.
I think about it and pick my stuff having an idea. I went outside the common room and looked for a fireplace so I could communicate with my dad by Head-only transport. I wait and I wait and I wait until he finally answers me...
"Dad?"
He replied with a serious tone "Hello my little Sunshine what is it you need?" He replied in a reassuring voice.
I smiled when I could at least see his face, I missed him a lot since it was only me and him. My dad was the most supportive and amazing human being who had a lot of business in and out of the wizard world. It was so surprising how he came from poverty and later became one of the most wealthy people by working hard and honestly.
"First I missed you" I chuckle "Second, do
You remember that you always told me
we should always help people if we can do it?" I smile sweetly.
His eyes narrowed with confusion, but his soft expression never faltered "Of course, I do. What did you plan this time, Sweetie?" he asked in a slightly teasing tone because it wasn't the first time she had come up with an idea to help others.
He knows me so well, he raised me after all.
"There is a friend..." Remus doesn't even know I exist so he wasn't a friend but I wanted to help "That well he and his parents cannot afford a potion" I explain sighing "he is a werewolf and I can see in his eyes he needs help even if he doesn't ask for it" I feel bad about that "do you think we can help him? I mean he is a very good student, and a good person can you help him... I don't know... like a grant every month but for the potion?" I ask.
