First Mission! beyond and away

Golden rays bathed the illustrious halls yellow as the knights of the grey deer gathered in the plaza, Taeye hid in the corner of the room avoiding the curious eyes of the squad.

It had become a custom for her to wait in solitude in the dark corners of the squads base, up until Yami returned from his missions. Even if he didn't have any, she would still wait patiently until Yami came for her.

"SOMEONES EARLY-" Yami bellowed. Taeye shot him a glare,"you're so loud, you'll kill me."

"Gladly," Yami chuckled. "Hey take care, will ya?"
"Okay." Taeye nodded, a small smile gracing her lips. She emerged from the shadows, her leather boots hitting the marble to a steady beat.

"So you finally came out," Elise laughed.
Taeye's head snapped up,'Elise...shy, attentive and funny...Yami said she's a good person, oh! those tiny wrinkles around her eyes are curling upwards . My, I think she's making a joke,' Taeye's eyes shone with humour, a small smile on her lips.

"Oh it's Roll call now." Elises attention was snatched.

"Elise Maple-woods" "Present"

"Taeye?" A voice reached out to her in a whisper.

"Ednick guill " "Present"

Taeye turned her head to the side. Purple lilac eyes caught with hazel orbs.
"Would you accompany me? We must really get going," William smiled at her softly.

Yami whispered to Taeye "Time to go,"

Taeye nodded, waving goodbye to Yami. She turned her back and strolled down the hall with William.

"Freddie winter" "Present"
"Frednick zinch" "Present"

"Taeye, William. Captain said he wished you well!" Their quick pace came to a stop, "Our thanks," Vengeance smiled, their pace resuming.

Taeye watched the masked man as he confidently addressed his squad mates, 'The
way he talks, is so charming,' Taeye whisked around quickly, killing her inner fan girl and quickly following behind William.

Soon the pair wandered past the arched gates of the grey deers base and began to approach the Main Street."Taeye, our mission takes place near the town of Rockne in the northeast of the clover kingdom."
Virion fluttered close to Taeye and explained the situation to her. Taeye nodded listening attentively.
"From what I know we must Investigate the recent disappearance of a squad of magic knights there."
Taeye turned curiously to Virion her eyebrows arching in confusion. "But if a squad of magic knights have gone going missing, surely we would need more than just us, or someone of higher rank."

Virion sat on the masked man's shoulders acting as a mode of communication for the two. "You're right,but I've actually gone on quite a few missions for the grey deer I'm at the same rank as our vice captain."
"Really?!" Taeye's face lit up with admiration "that's so cool !"
As Virion told William his face specked with pink. "it's nothing really," a charming smile adorning his face.
"We may be gone for quite a while, so I recommend you bring any necessities."
Taeye nodded, thinking of other things she might need. 'I've got virion, I'm sure we'll find food on the way, and it's not like I'll be on my time of month for a while. I think.'
"Okay, let's go."
The pair passed through the market, with vengeance stopping every so often to greet some people.
A similar squad of white haired siblings approached him, one calling out "Vengeance." William turned around, a small smile sitting on his lips. "Nozel. How may I be of service?"
"As respectful as ever I see. Good. Who's this?"
