"I think we're like fire and water. I think we're like the wind and sea."

"Oh my god your dorm is like hobbit sized."
"No it's not. My dorm is the same size as yours."
"Your bed is tiny though."
"It's not my fault you're a fucking giant." Luke and I have been arguing about the size of my furniture for what felt like hours now. He asked to come over to my dorm to work on the project and I was down because I didn't have to leave the comfort of my room.
Pushing my beanbag over towards the bed I plop down on it. "There. You get the whole bed to yourself."
I can't stop the laughter as I watch Luke kick off his shoes and lay on my bed. His feet hang off by about 5 inches. He looks at me with an indifferent glare.
"Oh that's priceless. This is a standard sized bed how the fuck do you fit in yours?"
"I had to get a bigger one."
"Really?"
"Yeah, my shit goes wall to wall."
I laugh at his joke but I know it has to be true. He is so tall there's no way he could fit comfortably in a regular dorm sized bed. I can imagine him curling up into a ball and my laughter never ceases.
"What's so funny?"
"Nothing I'm just imagining freshman year Luke suffering through the semesters with his hobbit sized bed."
Luke props his hands behind his head. Clearly my bed is good enough for him to make himself comfortable. "It was torture, Lainey."
"Oh I'm sure it was."
Suddenly my phone dings which pulls us out of our conversation.
