This space-paragraph thing helps a lot when you read and write. Why? It gives your eye a moment to stop and rest, pluss! It helps you on categorizing ideas or specific scenes/dialouge on your story.
It also make you not have to go back and forth lot of times, only to check on which sentence or paragraph you have left read.
From what i know about writing rules (thanks to my indonesian language class)
It's also important to give space between paragraph, cause . . it's in the rule! And you deffenetly know more of the "why's"
