𝐊𝐎𝐁𝐘 𝐊𝐄𝐏𝐓 𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊𝐈𝐍𝐆 over the edge of the small boat trying to find any signs of the girl while Luffy laid back happily. Koby looked up at Luffy "a-are you sure s-she's ok?" Luffy tilted his head up "yes she should be around here....somewhere" he said looking over the boat.
There was a sudden hard smack against the boat causing it to rock lightly "oh that might be her" he smiled and looked over the edge but didn't see anything. Another hard smack hit against the boat, Koby looked around trying to find her gulping nervously.
Luffy didn't looked fazed not one bit still keeping his cheeky grin. Suddenly a loud splash made Koby jump out of his skin and let out a girlish scream, snapping around he saw Y/n "boo!" she giggled watching him try to calm his racing heart. Luffy chuckled "see told you she'd be okay!"
Ducking her head under the water she swam around the boat closer to Luffy flicking his neck Y/n pouted "you could have warned me before you pushed me" Luffy rubbed his neck with a childish pout "I was just trying to help" Y/n rolled her eyes "so where are me headed?" she asked, "to the marine base!"
Y/n blinked "huh?" Luffy looked down at his long time friend "to get the map of the grand line" he stated, Y/n nodded "uh um...w-where is that at?" she asked, Koby spoke "just keep going north" Y/n nodded once again ducking her head under the water "might wanna hold onto something" Luffy stated laying back.
Koby looked confused "w-what do you m-mean-woah!" he fell forward as the boat without warning was pushed forward quickly. He sat up peeking over the boat "i-is that her?"
Luffy nodded "yet she's one of the fastest swimmers I know" Koby tilted his head "then again she is a mermaid so she probably is naturally fast" he hummed.
Koby stared wide eyed "s-she's a what?!" Luffy knocked on the boat twice causing it to stop, Y/n popped her head up "w-was I going too fast?" Luffy shook his head "nope! But Koby here didn't know you where a mermaid" Y/n cocked her head to the side "wait really? I thought you'd be able to tell" she shrugged.
Lifting her lower half out of the water Y/n showed Koby her shimmering tail. He stated wide eyed and mouth agape "w-woah, your t-tail it's so beautiful..." Y/n smiled "aw you're too kind"
Y/n pushed the boat forward as Luffy looked between the two an odd feeling rose in his gut, and it wasn't just hunger this time. He brushed it off actually speaking of hungry he could really go for some food right about now.
