"Leaf!" Aelfric cried out from afar. It would take too long for him to ride all the way over and not get caught in a sea of his enemies.Over the bridge connecting Hykeln and Gwendor, came a centaur. The horse legged man had midnight dark hair and piercingly emerald green eyes. He galloped towards Leaf's injured body with a quickening pace and lifted him up onto his back."You must venture to the water, where the ogres dareth not go," the centaur commanded to Alefric. Deciding not to question the stranger, the blonde nodded and rode swiftly after the two, whilst still defending against the vile ogres.Once they'd reached the edge of Hunter's river, the centaur paused abruptly and stared up at the shimmering golden bridge that overshadowed the three."Who are you?" The prince asked sternly."My name is Telasius. I noticed that you seemed to be doing terribly in this battle, with only two poor elves versus an army of ogres.""You ought to be showing me some more respect, I am the heir to the throne of Hykeln," Aelfric grumbled.Telasius simply chucked at the prince's face before returning to his solemn expression."Your friend seems to have been severely stabbed in the back. However, fortunately, it is not as bad as it could be. With the right treatment, he will live.""And what is the right treatment?" Aelfric started to become impatient, constantly aware that Leaf could be dying at any second."If you decide you trust me, I shall lead you back to the finest apothecary in Gwendor.""And why, exactly, are you doing this?"The centaur gave a smile that didn't quite reach his eyes, and strode towards the bridge, continuing to give no explanation. After what felt like eternity, Telasius stopped once more at a town full of other centaurs, dwarves and wilted "Leaf!"
