Crisp crystalline snow crunching beneath foot
Melting slowly, purposefully beneath a warm sun
Fading gently when the year is done

Blossom blooms and drifts gracefully in a warm breeze
Daffodils sprout: the promise of spring
And all the beauty and joy the season will bring

Dew drops dripping from emerald grass
Ripened and enlivened by winter's cold showers
Essence of pure life for all newborn flowers

Large eyed bunnies take fresh sight of the world
Cycles of lives, beginning once again this year
Blessed that we can see, and feel, taste, smell, and hear

The sun's faithful warmth returns from a long winter
We grow tired of the dark months, await what next brings
Thus is this: the promise of spring
