I'm not sure if any of you realised, but the cover of this essay says a lot about what I believe in. The author's name, Kai Evans, "Evans" is my mother's surname, which indicates Palestine is the ancestral homeland of Palestinians, and that Palestine is rightfully for the Palestinians.
I don't want to leave this essay without saying this:
Dear Palestine, I am terribly sorry for your circumstances in this time. It's just atrocious that your citizens, who have absolutely nothing to do with the matter, are being killed. Whenever I hear about your situation, I can't help but think of how fortunate I am to be living in a place that is not in the midst of war. I hope that one day, your people will no longer have to suffer.
Thank you for reading my essay, and I hope you've enjoyed it.
