Tom has had enough waiting around and finally left his demon realm and went off towards the Mewni realm, as he wanted to take Star on a romantic evening out with just them and no one else for as far as the eye could see.

This plan, however, was almost immediately ruined because Star had other more important things to accomplish than going on a date with her boyfriend... like stopping any possible wars from breaking out between Mewni and another kingdom pissed at Eclipsa.

Which wasn't that rare or unheard of, as the tide of people's opinion on Eclipsa has been changing, albeit at a snail's pace, but there was still progress being made, and that alone made Star very happy anytime she saw or heard the change.

In the meantime, however, Tom had managed to come into contact with Janna and Celeri, who were both playing fetch with both of them being the dog and owner from how they seemed to act whenever the other would catch the ball.

Tom: "Do... do I even want to know what the heck you two are doing?"

Janna: "(Throws the ball as far and as hard as she could) Well playing. It's something others do for fun. You do know what fun is, right?"

Tom: "(Starts blushing and not just because Janna was marching super close to him) Of course I've had fun! I mean... most of the time Star was there leading the way, but I still had fun none the less!"

Janna looked at Tom with nothing but concern and pity, causing him to freak out a bit as he didn't understand why he was being looked at like this, and when Celeri finally appeared, he dropped his ball that seemed to crack the ground and looked super depressed.

Tom: "Uh, look, man, I—"

Janna: "Aw, come on (drags Tom on over to Celeri); it's not like I can have male friends besides you."

Janna pats and rubs/rustles Celeri's hair, which made him feel good enough that Tom could have sworn he saw a tail swinging back and forth from Celeri as he got pets from Janna.

Janna: "I know, how about we all go on our own little adventure!?"

Celeri seemed to perk up when he heard this, almost to the point you could swear that it was comparable to asking a dog if they wanted to go on a walk. Since from the way things looked they were basically the same, with the only difference being Celeri seemed to be excited but also sad that Tom was probably going to be there with them.

But for the most part, he didn't seem to mind that Tom was coming with them, and that probably had to do with the fact that Celeri also looked at Tom with pure pity in his eyes, like Tom had just lost whatever reason for being he had when Star wasn't there with him.

And without even getting a say in whether or not he wanted to go with them, Tom suddenly found himself on a wild adventure in the kingdom's scrapyard, as that was apparently where you could find the most interesting/fun things in all of the kingdoms.

Of course Tom didn't really believe any of this but had to kind of admit he found quite a few interesting things as they walked through the valley of broken dreams that Janna ever so graciously seemed to give it.

The most interesting thing Tom seemed to find in the vast amounts of piles of random trashed things had to possibly be a wizard-looking staff that seemed to burst something if you were to whack it against something.

Another thing had to be some sort of sword that slowly began moving from the handle of the blade before it eventually fell completely out of the handle and onto the floor and immediately turned into dust the second it touched anything.

Tom: "Just how old are some of these things? (Drags hand across something and looks in disgust as his hand becomes dark, rust-looking red.) No seriously, how old are they, because I'm kind of scared that I might have caught something from these things."
