Tav felt a rush of warmth at Astraion's invitation, her heart skipping a beat as she placed her hand in his. "I would be honored," she replied, a smile spreading across her face as they stepped onto the gleaming marble floor.

As they began to dance, Tav found herself lost in the moment, the worries and uncertainties of their quest melting away as she moved in sync with Astraion. His touch was gentle yet confident, guiding her effortlessly across the ballroom as though they were the only two people in the world.

They danced with no music, just the sound of their feet.

Astarion leaned over. "I've had more fun than I have in the past two centuries since you came here." He spun her, "And I think we can have more."

Tav allowed herself to be spun before stabilizing. "Hm? What fun?"

"Sex, my dear." He let out a faint chuckle.

Her core tightened.

She stumbled slightly in her steps as they continued to dance. "Astarion-"

"Once we finish up our research tonight, of course," Astarion continued, his voice low and enticing as he leaned in closer. "We can retire to our chambers and indulge in pleasures far more... enjoyable than reading dusty tomes."

Tav's breath caught in her throat at Astarion's suggestion, her pulse quickening with a mixture of desire and apprehension. She knew the risks of giving in to their impulses, but the allure of Astarion's touch was impossible to ignore.

She glanced up at him, her eyes searching his for any sign of hesitation. But all she found was hunger. Whether that hunger was for blood or her, she couldn't tell.

"Perhaps... perhaps just a momentary distraction wouldn't hurt," Tav found herself saying, her voice barely above a whisper.

Astarion's lips curved into a satisfied smile, his eyes alight with a spark of excitement as he pulled her to his chest as they danced.

"Very well, my love," he murmured, his voice a seductive whisper against her ear. "But let's make it a night to remember."

And with that, they continued to dance, the promise of passion hanging heavy in the air as they moved.

Tav stumbled into her room the next morning. She immediately crossed to her bed and fell on it. She let out a weary sigh, her body feeling heavy with exhaustion as she sank into the soft embrace of her bed. The events of the previous night replayed in her mind, a whirlwind of memories that left her both exhilarated and drained.

Karlach flamed up in her fireplace and snorted. "Tired, are we?" She teased.

Tav flicked her off.

Karlach let out a throaty laugh, her flames dancing with amusement at Tav's response. "Well, well, well," she said, her voice dripping with sarcasm. "Seems like our little adventurer has finally found her fire."

Tav couldn't help but chuckle weakly at Karlach's jest, her muscles protesting as she shifted into a more comfortable position on the bed.

"Yeah, well, don't get used to it," Tav replied, a faint smile tugging at the corners of her lips. "I'll always be a work in progress."

"Aren't we all?" Karlach passed her a wide-toothed smile. "Rest up, Tav. You've earned it."

With a final flicker of her flames, Karlach settled back into the comforting glow of the fireplace, leaving Tav to herself.

Then, she turned back to Karlach with her eyebrows pressed together. "Wait...how did you know?"

"You were loud."
