As we made our way to the infirmary, I noticed the female teacher who had attacked. "Good morning, ma'am," I greeted her tentatively.
"Good morning. Where are you two going?" she inquired, her expression a mix of curiosity and concern.
"We're heading to the infirmary," I replied, trying to sound composed despite the lingering unease.
"The infirmary? Is something wrong?" she pressed, her concern growing more palpable.
"Don't worry about it, ma'am," I reassured her with a forced smile.
"Okay then, be careful," she said before turning around to walk away.
"Ma'am!" I called out, causing her to stop and turn back to me.
"Yes?" she responded, waiting for my next words.
"Um... please be careful. If you see a student running towards you, please run away immediately," I urged, my voice tinged with urgency.
"Okay..." she replied, clearly puzzled by my warning but taking it seriously nonetheless.
"Hey, Siah. When you mention a running student, do you mean someone like them?" My best friend pointed at a group of students running in the distance.
"They sure have the guts to play even during school hours. Right, Siah?" he remarked, turning to me. However, instead of agreement, he found me trembling in fear, my eyes fixed on the running students.
The female teacher approached the group of running students, her voice booming with authority, "Hey! Who is your teacher? Why are you here running during school hours?" she shouted, trying to restore order.
"No, no, no, no, NO!!!" I screamed in horror, my voice filled with panic. "He's here... he will... he will..." I couldn't finish my sentence, overcome by the traumatic memories flooding back.
My best friend, Alex, quickly stepped in, holding my shoulders and shaking me gently. "Hey! What's going on?" His tone was filled with concern and urgency.
"It's them, Alex! This is... this is what I've been talking about! The zombies!!! They will kill you, eat you alive, tear your flesh!" I exclaimed, my voice trembling as I relived the terrifying experience.
"Snap out of it, Siah!" Alex's voice cut through my fear, his eyes locking onto mine with a mixture of determination and reassurance. "Look, they're just students. It's okay, you're safe now."
As the student sprinted towards the female teacher, panic surged through me like a tidal wave. "No! You don't understand!" I cried out, my voice filled with desperation. I darted towards them, my heart pounding in my chest with each step.
"Shit, shit, shit, SHIT!" I shouted as I closed the distance, my mind racing with a mixture of fear and determination.
"Ma'am! Don't!" I shouted, grabbing her hand just as the student reached her.
"Hey! What are you doing!? Release me at once!" she yelled, struggling against my grip.
"Ma'am! I'm saving your life!" I retorted angrily, but she responded by slapping my face. "You're being unreasonable, stop this at once," she demanded.
"I... you don't understand," I said weakly, releasing her hand as a sense of helplessness washed over me. I stood there, feeling lost and overwhelmed by the chaos unfolding around us.
"Don't leave here, I want to talk to you in my office," she instructed firmly. "I'll deal with them first," she added, gesturing towards the students who were now being attended to by other teachers.
Taking deep breaths, I struggled to regain control of my emotions. The laughter that bubbled up from within me felt hollow and tinged with madness. "Hah... haha... hahahah... HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!" I laughed uncontrollably, "YOU ALL DON'T UNDERSTAND! YOU WOULD NEVER UNDERSTAND!" I shouted, my voice cracking with emotion.
