-#[Jungkook's pov]:

It can't just be a coincidence, can it? Could y/n possibly be the woman from that night?

"What are you thinking?" A familiar voice asked, piercing through my thoughts. I glanced to the side just to find Jimin staring back at me with a curious expression, his eyes sparkling with a hint of mischief as if he was eager to know what I was thinking or maybe he had already read my mind.

Nevertheless, I ignored his curiosity and took another sip of my drink, but he didn't let up and soon spoke up again, breaking the icy silence between us.

"That woman," he paused, making me glance at him from the corner of my eyes, just to find him filling his glass with another shot of whiskey.

The amber liquid glugged into the glass, and he brought it to his lips, "What was her name again?"

After taking a slow sip he again shifted his gaze to me, his eyes narrowing slightly, "y/n, was it?" His tone was casual, but his gaze was intense, as if daring me to answer.

I raised an eyebrow, my brows pulling together in confusion as he raised another question, "What do you think of her?"

"What do you mean?" I asked, trying to sound nonchalant despite the growing tension. And he scoffed, his lips curled up on one side in a smirk.

"Don't play dumb, Jungkook. My question isn't that hard." He leaned in closer, his voice taking on a conspiratorial tone.

"But if you're going to pretend as if you're not understanding then here we go. I'll be direct with my question," his gaze narrowed as he added, "Do you love her?"

The silence between us grew heavy, and I could feel his gaze boring into me, waiting for an answer.

"Love? Are you being real?" I finally spoke up, my voice laced with skepticism, and watched as he recoiled slightly, his head tilting to the side like a curious cat.

"Yes, I'm genuinely curious about your connection with her," he said, his eyes sparkling with interest, as he took another sip of his drink and leaned back into the couch's plush cushions.

"What's the nature of your relationship, and more importantly, what are your true feelings towards her?"

I snorted. "There's nothing between us. She's just a-"

And before I could respond, he cut me off, his voice slicing through the air like a sharp blade.

"Plaything?" He asked, his smirk growing wider, like a Cheshire cat's grin.

"Is she merely a plaything, or are you falling deeply in love, Young Master Jeon?"

My annoyance flared, and I downed the whiskey in one Swift motion, the amber liquid burning my throat.

"That's absolute bullshit," I growled, my voice low and menacing.

He chuckled, the sound like a gentle breeze on a summer day, but his words were laced with a subtle indication that was directing at something.

"Well, it's good to know that. Also, Taehyung's showing a lot of interest in his fake girlfriend. I don't want a girl to come in between this friendship. That would be a shame."

The mention of Taehyung's interest in her was like a red flag waving in my face. My grip on the glass tightened, my knuckles turned white with tension.

I couldn't tell what was driving me crazy the most, her name getting linked with him or the thought of actually falling for her.

"Also, Hazel will be back next week," he continued, his voice dripping with nonchalance, "and you'll be getting a lot busier-"
