Dance classes

The next morning,Hazel saw Xavier off to the carriage and she kept waving till it was out of sight, later on, as Xavier had said, Lucas dropped her off at the church with Elliot. Elliot who followed her was not in his grown adult human form but as an eleven years old boy. He was seated at the main church while Hazel went into the inner room. As he sat there, after some time hours of sitting, he caught sight of Evelyn coming into the church and she sat besides where he also sat
'What was she doing here' he thought as he sat quietly observing her
"Hey little boy" Evelyn greeted, he didn't answer at first until she tapped him, then he turned and cutely smiled at her "Awwn, what's your name and where are your parents" she asked
"I'm Damien and my mom is saying her confession to the priest" he lied
"I would like to meet your mom" she said and Damien(Elliot) panicked, if she got to see Hazel, he knew she knows that Hazel was the special girl he was to look after, so seeing Hazel will help her get to him
"Do you know my mom? Cause if you don't, my mom doesn't talk to strangers" he tried to reason
"No, don't worry, I don't have any bad intention"
Evelyn on the other hand had been stalking Hazel and when she saw her enter the church with the little boy, she decided to follow wondering who the little boy is to Hazel
"Are you sure your mom doesn't like meeting strangers" she asked again stressing the word 'mom' to verify if Hazel was truly the little boy's mom
"Yes, she doesn't" Damien(Elliot) confirmed thinking she was going to leave
"As I said, I won't hurt. I just saw your mom when you both were entering the church and decided yo see her and ask if she would love to join our dance classes, that's all"
"Dance classes? But my mom already knows how to dance" he said again hoping she would drop the idea of meeting Hazel
"Its a new dance step,and guess what you can also join at the children's section"
"Its up to my mom then" he said giving up. Some minutes later, Hazel came out with Connor, they were still talking about some few things as they walked and then they finally parted as they waved. Hazel walked in the direction of where Damien (Elliot) was seated, she saw the lady by his side and recognized her to be Evelyn, Elliot had told her about her. What an irony, she was just seated close to the person she was searching for.
"Come let's go, Lucas must be waiting" Hazel called on Elliot

Writing Damien(Elliot) is stressful, so if you guys see Elliot or Damien, know that they are one and the same person, just in different forms. I'll use Damien when he is in his child form and Elliot in adult form

"I'm sorry Ms, but are you his mom" Evelyn said calling the attention of Hazel who she thought didn't notice her. Hazel on the other hand wasn't prepared to meet another reaper, but wait, did she say 'mom', what has Damien told her. She turned to face Evelyn, pointing at herself indicating if she was talking to her
"Yes, you. Damien said you're his mom"
What!?, Damien? When did Elliot become Damien. She looked at Elliot and he gave her a pleading gaze to just cooperate
"Oh yes he is. Did he cause any trouble?"
"No, he didn't, I actually wanted to meet you"
"Me?"
"Yes"
"Why?"
"I actually wanted you to join our dance classes"
"I do know how to dance, Ms…"
"Evelyn, Ms Evelyn. And yes Damien said so, but these are new dance steps and as Lord Xavier's woman, don't you think it nice to know new steps for parties and ball you guys may attend"
"How did you know I'm with Xavier?"
"Don't be shocked, I've actually seen you two on two occasions here"
"Oh… but I'm sorry, I got other things to attend to" Hazel politely declined referring to her lessons with Connor
"I'm sure you can make time for this" she insisted
"Well… will you come over to the mansion then"
"Sure, I can, its surely not a problem and its a privilege to teach the Lord's woman"
Each of them knew that Evelyn was just looking for an opportunity to get close yo Hazel and find out about Some Elliot
"Okay. But you won't come everyday, as I said, I have other things to do"
"That's not a problem and Damien can join if he wants to. It's good for them to learn at a tender age"
"As for Damien, I'm not sure he wants to, right Damien?" She asked
"I would love to join" he said surprising Hazel
"See?"
"We should go now, someone is waiting for us" Hazel said turning to leave.
They left Evelyn's sight and luckily, Lucas was already waiting so they got in and headed back to the mansion. Damien changed back to his grown form
"How was the lessons, Ms Hazel?" Lucas asked politely
"It was okay" she replied and there was short silence afterwards before Elliot spoke
"Something was strange back there"
"What was?"
"I had noticed my scent was getting to show up these days but back there she didn't sense me"
"You should thank me for that" Hazel boasted
"I don't get"
"I'll explain later, now I'm so hungry, I need to eat"
"What about Evelyn's case"
"We'll talk about it later also"
Back at the mansion, the carriage stopped at the entrance and Collins came forward as usual yo take their coats. Hazel went straight to her room to drop the spell book before heading to the dining together with Lionel who met her on the way, Hazel was met with a surprise. Elliot and Mrs Decron were seated already, Xavier's seat was empty and the seat besides his, which was meant to be Hazel's was occupied, it was Dorin who sat there
"Hi Hazel, nice seeing you again" Dorin faked smiled at Hazel as she took her seat  between Lionel and Elliot. Soon after, the maids started dishing the food
"I'm sure you're missing Xavier already" she continued
"You guessed right and he also feels the same" Hazel's answered
"I really hope so" Dorin mocked
"Well, Dorin, let's eat in peace and cause no trouble" Hazel suggested
"You don't tell me what to do in my home"
"If I can remember well, you were told not yo be seen around her, more like banned from coming here, so its not your mom. But seems like mother dearest helped a bit" Hazel retorted
"If you forgot, I'm his half sister, so I still have a chance with him since we aren't actually related by blood"
"Are we still going back on this case"
"You thought I was done with you hahaha, I just gave you a break, I'm back to chase you out"
"You're such a coward Dorin, why did you come when Xavier was gone?"
"Would you shut up" this time Mrs Decron chipped in "how dare you talk back at her"
"The last time I checked, we were on the same status level, Ms Dorin, so there's no harm in talking back"
"You dare talk back at me" Mrs Decron shouted
"Am I to keep quiet and listen to the crap she says with her croaky voice" Hazel said referring to Dorin
"Did you just I have a croaky voice" Dorin blurted
"Did I say so? Oh yes I did, any problems with that?" Hazel mocked
"…" Dorin was speechless, she was so annoyed at the moment while Hazel focused in her food ignoring them both. The atmosphere was tense all the way till they were done with dinner. Lionel followed Hazel to her room and so did Elliot. They stayed at the small living room in the room

I don't think I've ever mention having a small living room in Xavier and Hazel's room but now I did, so take it like that

"What's wrong with the lady?" Lionel asked
"She's actually behaves that way, a ranter, you'll get used to it" Hazel answered
"I was just saying cause she was giving me mean stares since she came"
"As I said, you'll get used to it… don't you feel sleepy, you should go sleep"
"No… I mean yes, but I can't walk through those lonely corridors alone, its scary" Lionel complained
"I'll come with you" Elliot offered
"No" he said almost immediately, there was no way he would allow a reaper escort him "I mean no, I'll just go by myself" and he left the room. Hazel and Elliot chucked at that
"I'm sure he's still scared of everything around, well its not that easy to adapt yo new faces and scary creatures" Hazel defended
"Are you trying to say I'm scary"
"Of course, I was scared the first time you spoke to me when you still possessed relles"
"You didn't need go ell me you we're sacred cause with the way you were hitting me with that mop stick, I knew"
"That's bygone now… let's talk about Evelyn's case"
"Why did you accept it, you would have simply said no" Elliot asked the first thing in his mind
"If I had, it will be suspicious as she'll think there's a reason I don't want to join and besides, its just dance classes, there no reason to decline. And why did you also agree to join the children section?"
"So I can be close to you, have you forgot my job"
"I see"
They stayed quiet for a while before Hazel spoke again
"I'm already missing him, its not even up to a day"
"Yeah, who knew that the Hazel who didn't give men a second look back at Bougreve will now miss a man" Elliot taunted
"When is he coming back" she asked ignoring his words
" I'm sure you know that already"
"Three days is much" she whined
"You should be grateful he said that cause it normally takes a week for these kind of meetings"
"What!!… " she shouted but then yawned which Elliot noticed
"I'll be going now, good night and dream about you and Dorin fighting"
"I'll do just that"
