Croaky Lucas

During the evening time, Lucas came to pick them as usual. Connor had given her some of his potions in those flasks and asked her to identify their works, he gave her about three flasks and a books about potions.
During dinner, Dorin still occupied the seat close to Xavier's throwing Hazel mean glares
"Where have you been since morning and why are you just returning now" Dorin asked
"I don't suppose its any of your business
"It is, who knows if you go about looking for a witch to give you more love potions to feed Xavier with"
"I can't stop your imaginations, can I?"
"There's no need meeting a witch when she's one already" Mrs Decron insulted
'If only you knew' Hazel thought
"I wish I was a witch, then I would have turned you into into frogs… but there's no need for that since one of you already has a characteristic of a frog… its croaky voice" Hazel mocked
"You still dare repeat that" Dorin shouted
"Uhm… please can I start having my food at my room" Lionel interrupted getting nervous of the drama
"You don't get to decide where you eat, Mr Lionel Harlow" Mrs Decron harshly replied
"Yes you can dad, I'll inform Collins about it" ha,el answered
"I meant from now" Lionel persisted
"You mean you want to leave now" Hazel asked to confirm and Lionel nodded. Hazel signalled the maids to take his food to his room.
"Who gave you the right to decide where you guys could eat" Dorin harshly said
"If I can remember correctly Dorin, you are the visitor here and this is my home, so I don't need to be given the right to decide where I want my relatives to eat"
"I see, you're basking on the rights of being Xavier's bed mate" Dorin taunted
"Enough if the ranting Dorin, its starting to piss me"
Hazel said picking the napkin to clean her lips, indicating she was done with eating. She left to the room, taking a deep breath before laying on the bed. She was waiting for Elliot to be done since he promised they would study the potions together. After some time, she stood up and lined the potions on the table which were numbered sixteen, twenty-two and forty, each with a different colour, green, purple and blue respectively. The green potion caught her attention and she decided to check it out, she brought it closer with the potion book in her hands and studied both items for some time before Elliot came in.
"Looks like you've already started without me"
"I'm just interested in this one, I can guess what's its used for"
"Have you checked the book and find it out"
"That's exactly what I've been doing before you came in, I guess I have to practise it to find out"
"Connor asked you to be careful with the  potions right?"
"I know, I'll just try it out"
"And what do you plan on doing?"
"I found some spells that is used for this particular potion, but I need something like a lab rat to try it on"
"Spells don't work on me, I would have volunteered"
"Yeah"
"We can call Lucas, he's the only person in the mansion who knows about you being a witch apart from your dad cause I don't think your dad will want to partake in this"
"I hope he agrees on it"
"He will, Xavier must have told him to help you in any way"
Hazel then sent for Lucas and he came immediately thinking that something was wrong
"I'm sorry to disturb you at this hour" Hazel apologized
"No you didn't, I'll be happy to help out"
"Well, I wanted to test out what this potion is used for but I need someone to test it on, Elliot here is not affected by spells and you're my only option knowing that you know what's going on"
"Sure"
"You're not scared"
"Whatever the potion is for, you can undo or redo it right?"
"Sure" Hazel could only hope
"Okay let's get started" Elliot said and Hazel picked up the book to memorize the spell for the potion, she asked Elliot to bring some materials needed for it to work and he did so. She chanted the spells for some time, then bringing the potion closer to Lucas and sprayed a little on him. Immediately, Lucas went missing, only his clothes were seen in the floor
"Where's he" Hazel asked getting scared
"Don't know, maybe it's a potion to get someone missing" Elliot replied not understanding also what happened
"Don't be sarcastic Elliot" Hazel warned
"I don't understand okay"
Hazel started searching the book for an undoing spell, she chanted spells after spells but nothing happened
"Have Lucas really gone missing, S**t, what will I tell Xavier" she said running her hands through her hair already.
"Croak"
"What was that" she asked as she heard the sound
"Definitely a frog"
"I know its a frog but where is it"
"Croak croak" it was louder this time, Hazel bent to see the green slimy creature beneath the oile if Lucas clothes
"Waaaaah" Hazel shouted as she jumped on Elliot "there's the frog"
"Croak croak croak"
Translation: its me Lucas, its me
"Look, its still making that noise, throw it out, I wonder how it got in here" Hazel said
"Croak croak croooak"
Translation: don't throw me out, its me, you turned me to a frog
"Wait Hazel, this is Lucas" Elliot said after examining the frog a bit
"Come on, pfft, how would Lucas be that frog. Is he a reaper to posses…" she didn't completed her sentence as she realised what Elliot meant. Was that potion one that turns people into frogs? This was bad news
"Lucas?" She called to confirm
"Croak"
Translation: you now realise right?
"Oh my God, I'm very sorry, I never knew it will turn you into a frog, but why will Connor give me such potion"
"Croak crooak croak croooooaak"
Translation: would you please get me back to my normal self now you've known what the potion is for
"Let's get you back to your vampire self" she said as she went back to the book chanting some spells and sprayed the potion again a little on the frog. Lucas who was expecting to be his normal size again opened his eyes to see that Hazel and Elliot still looked tall, he stared at Hazel to see her eyes open in shock. What happened now? He bent to check himself and realised that he now had a big stomach, well this wasn't there at first, there was no web around his fingers anymore. Wait a minute, he had been turned from a frog to a toad!!! A big one to make it worse. He tried to shout but he found out that his jaw had been blown into a balloon
"Kpwooo" that was the sound that came out "kpwooo kpwooo kpwooo"
Translation: what have you turned me into!!!
If he was in his vampire self, there might have been smoke coming out from his ears and nose
"Why is it not working Elliot" Hazel turned to face Elliot but only found him laughing so hard that his stomach hurt
"What's funny, this is serious, I can't change him back" Hazel complained
"Kpwooo"
Translation: what do you mean you can't change me back!!
"Hahaha, its so funny seeing Lucas like this, Almighty Xavier's right hand man is now a frog … sorry a toad, hahaha" Elliot laughed
"Kpwooo"
Translation: is this a setup
"I'll find a way" Hazel said ignoring Elliot as she tried to search for anything to change him back but nothing seemed to work. Lucas just stared at her while Elliot sat there and let out a chuckle anytime a spell didn't work
"Could you stop laughing and help me out" hazel said as she was getting annoyed with the way he just laughed at her
"I can't stop" he replied
"Hmmph" she turned yo Lucas "I guess we'll have to wait till tomorrow so I can take you to Connor"
"Kpwooo kpwoo kpwooo"
Translation: so I should sleep as a frog tonight. Are you kidding me!!
"I'm very sorry Lucas but I promised first thing tomorrow, I'm taking you to Connor" she said even though she didn't understand what the toad was saying but she could guess he was angry
"Tsk tsk, sorry Lucas, I guess you'll remain a frog forever. I'm leaving, have a goodnight Hazel and work on your voice Lucas" Elliot said and left.
Hazel picked up the toad from the floor, placing Jim on the table before going to bed
