I walked into her office, standing in front of her desk.
She studies my facial expressions before asking,
"how's Johnnie?"
"Oh. I don't know him that well but I don't think he's at his best." I respond, spinning a small pinwheel figure that laid on her desk.
"Did he tell you what happened?"
"No, I tried to get him to but he got all nervous." I say, my eyes meeting her sympathetic ones.
"Please keep an eye on him, he's going through a lot."
I nod and can't help but feel curious and somehow excited?
I'm not sure if that the right word but it made me feel something to know I was supposed to look after him, be the one he comes to.
