The brunette leaned against the balcony railing, her eyes fixed on the sky as Barry's revelation echoed in her mind. He had dropped a bombshell that shattered her world: she didn't exist. Her entire life was fabricated, every single moment—the joys, the sorrows, the tears—it was all fake

But how could it be fake when her memories felt so real? She vividly remembered the night their mother died, the impossible circumstances that left her and Barry blocks away from their home

She recalled their father being unjustly imprisoned for their mother's murder, only to later discover that the true culprit was the very person who had mentored them

She squeezed her eyes shut, trying to make sense of the turmoil inside her. The memories were so vivid, so real. She could still feel the fear and confusion from that night, the chill in the air as they ran back to their house, and the weight of Barry's hand in hers

How could something so tangible be a lie? Barry had explained it to her, to them all, the concept of Flashpoint, how his actions had altered reality itself. He had created a new timeline, one where she now existed

A tear rolled down her cheek as she thought of their father. How could she reconcile the man who raised her up until his imprisonment with the knowledge that in the original timeline, he had no reason to? She still missed him, the night Zoom killed him, was her breaking point, she felt every ounce of pain in that moment, but again, was it even real? Was she even there?

And their mother—she loved her mother, she loved how when she was scared, she would brush her hair until she fell asleep, how she sing to her right before she had a doctors appointment because she was too scared to sit through an exam and her loss— that loss was a wound that never truly healed, but now, even that pain felt like a betrayal

She heard the soft footsteps behind her but didn't turn; she knew exactly who it was

Aurelia: How'd you know I'd be here?

She asked, her voice tinged with frustration

"Joe told me."

Barry replied, stepping closer, his hands in his pockets as he made his way toward his sister awkwardly, hoping to make things right between them, though he feared it might be a pipe dream

Aurelia: Of course he did.

She scoffed and as Barry opened his mouth to speak, she spun around to confront him

Aurelia: When's my birthday?

She demanded as Barry just stammered his next words

"It's, uh—"

Aurelia scoffed again, the sound filled with bitterness

Aurelia: What's my favorite color? What's my favorite movie? Do you know what happened to me on my fifteenth birthday?

Questions flooded Barry's mind, but he had no answers. He had created her life in this timeline, but he realized he knew so little about her

"Aurelia, I'm so sorry."

He said, his voice cracking with sincerity

Aurelia: Sorry?

She laughed angrily, the sound harsh and pained

Aurelia: Sorry doesn't cut it, Barry. You created me, but you don't know me. How can you expect me to just accept this?

Barry's heart sank. He had hoped for forgiveness, but now he realized that fixing things would require more than just an apology. He needed to understand her, to truly know her, if they were ever going to move forward

"I know I made a mistake, Aurelia."

He spoke to her softly as he took another step towards her

"But I want to make things right. I want to learn about you, to be the brother you deserve."

But right now that statement didn't mean much as Aurelia crossed her arms, and glared at him as she fought the tears that threatened to come out

Aurelia: It's not that easy, Barry.

But before Barry could respond, his phone beeped as he took it out to see that there was a disturbance in Central City as he looks up at Aurelia who knew what he was gonna say

Aurelia: Go, Barry. Just go..

Her voice trailed off as she turns back around to stare up at the sky as Barry sighs not really wanting to leave her but alas he did

Barry came to a screeching halt at the location which indicated a meteor had struck the city. Despite his personal turmoil, he knew his duty to protect Central City as its guardian angel came first. But as he approached, he quickly realized it wasn't a meteor that had crashed

His breath caught in his throat as before him lay a sleek, otherworldly spaceship, its surface gleaming under the city lights. Barry's heart pounded as he pressed the comm on his cowl, his voice urgent and shaky

"Guys."

Static crackled in his earpiece, and Cisco's indistinct voice echoed through the interference. Barry took cautious steps toward the alien craft, every sense on high alert

"It's not a meteor."

He continued, trying to convey the gravity of the situation as the ship suddenly emitted a low, ominous hum

Barry's eyes widened in shock as a blinding white blast erupted from the vessel, sending him flying backward. He landed hard on the pavement, the impact knocking the wind out of him. Groaning, he forced himself to look up

The ship's hatch hissed open, and from within, a dozen alien creatures emerged, their forms sleek and menacing. Barry's mind raced, struggling to process the surreal sight before him. One of the aliens screeched, the sound piercing through the night air before it darted off with the others

Barry scrambled to his feet, his body tense and ready for action. The reality of the situation hit him like a ton of bricks—aliens were in Central City. He had faced many threats, but this was something else entirely

As he scanned the area, his mind raced with questions and fears. These creatures were just the beginning and little did The Flash know that THE INVASION was about to begin, and Central City was on the front lines
