6: The Beeakfast

Hamza's POV
What just happened.

Why did I do that.

No. I didn't mean to I just wasn't thinking straight.

Im just so tired and the noise was so loud and annoying.

Whatever Im just going to forget about that.

I took a shower and wrapped my torso in a towel as I stepped out of the bathroom

Thankfully, Aila had left the bedroom

I went into my closet and picked out a suit to wear

I brushed my hair and headed downstairs as it was 9 already

As I approached the table I noticed everyone was there except my mom and Aila

As I sat down I saw her come out of the kitchen with plates in her hand

She set them down and went back into the kitchen once again

She was doing work?

I thought she was just a lazy girl who had never done work in her life

I mean her dad was super rich I assumed they had servants in their house

She eventually came and sat in the chair next to me and we all started eating

It was silent at first but my dad broke it by saying " Aila I know this is a big change for you. You haven't met any of us prior to your wedding but you are our daughter now. We want you to feel comfortable in this house. If Hamza gives you any trouble make sure to let us know."

everyone started laughing at that last sentence but I just kept a straight face

What trouble would I give her she's the one who's going to be troubling me

" Ok thank you uncle" she said smiling

" Beta call me Dad" he said

" okay dad" she said

damn they really like her don't they

" So tell us about yourself Aila" Mom said

" What do you want to know" she said

"Can i ask something" my brother, Ali, said to her

" Yes ofcourse" She said

" Usually the eldest in the family takes over the family business but I heard that you aren't doing that so who's going to take over when ur father retires" He asked

" ali it's her first day here why are u already asking her business related questions" my mom scolded him

I hope she still answers tho because I wanted to know that too

" It's fine Mom" she said smiling " Right now we're planning for my brother to take over when my dad retires but he is still in college, so its going to be a couple of years until he can do that" She said

" Ohh okay and also if you don't mind me asking why can't u take over" he asked

" I already have a job and I can't be the Ceo of a company and work at that job" she said

" Well what do you do" my sister , Rabia, chimed in

" I'm a surgeon" she said

My jaw dropped. She's a surgeon? Why didn't I know that

" seriously" my siblings asked in sync

" Yeah is something wrong with that" she frowned

" Beta u are only 24 right" My mom asked

" Yes" she laughed

" Then how are you a surgeon don't you have to go school for like 10 years to become one" Ali asked

" Yeah but I started studying for the MCAT while I was in high school and I did AP and dual enrollment, so I was able to graduate early from high school and college. I also took summer classes to get more ahead. Then when I graduated college I took the MCAT and the other tests and became a surgeon!" She explained

How is that even possible. someone would have to be really smart to do that and there's no way she was

" Wow u are now my idol" Rabia said in awe

Everyone started laughing

I had stayed quiet this whole time

I didn't like talking about my wife or to her at all

I just needed this meal to be over so I could leave.
