Evening, 5 PM
Standing up from the stairs, I hustled towards the main door when the voice of a man fell into my ears,
Opening the main door, My eyebrows knitted in confusion as I saw a man in dhoti and kurta standing afar from our house while he shouted with a speaker in his hand

"AGLI SARKAR KA PARINAAM AAGAYA HAI, SUNO SUNO SUNO!!"

His words made my eyebrows relaxed and realising that results has been out, the tension on my face grew even more wanting to listen more from him,

Feeling a hand on my shoulder, I turned to look at maa who also had her face covered with her veil standing behind me and asking me what happened with her eyebrows, I just signalled towards the speaker and she understood

Everyone came out from their houses whether it was ladies or kids and everyone was keenly into hearing the further words and knowing if their voted won or not

Taking a deep breath while closing my eyes, I prayed to God for a fair choice and the next words from the speaker made a smile form on our lips

CHUNAV KE ANSUR, HUMARE GAO KE SARPANCH KA PADH FIR SE SURYA SANGATHAN SE VISHWAJEET VASHISHT JI KO MILA HAI!!!"

A wave of happiness ran in the whole neighborhood listening to the words and everyone started cheering

A wide smile formed on my lips hearing the news and turning to look at maa, My smile grew even wider when she hugged me out of happiness

Embracing her back, I saw her eyes sparkling with purity before she pulled out of hug and greeted excitedly "badhai ho bahu Rani, badhai ho"

Nodding my head while smiling to her, I saw her hurriedly wearing off her viel and closing the door, she informed "Hum jaldi se Pooja ki thaal taiyaar karten hain, Tumhare sasur ji aate hi honge, vo kaafi khush honge"

She said before looking around and quickly making her way towards the mandir, Smiling to her beautiful smile my head went to Virat ji and knowing he must be really happy, All I wanted was to meet him as soon as it could be,

Helping maa with the "Pooja ki thaal" I placed the flower petals on the side of the plate when suddenly I heard the mate door knocking

Turning around to the voice, I saw a big smile forming on maa's lips and she quickly went to open the door

Smiling to her excitement when she looked at baba, I adored the beautiful love they shared with their eyes and maa called me with the thaal

Coming closer while eyeing outside from the door to find Virat ji, The same loving smile of maa's lips formed on mine when I saw Virat ji entering,

He had a flower's garland around his neck while baba wore the sarpanch's high positioned red turban with beads embroided on it,

Smiling while looking at him I could see the happiness sparkling in his eyes while he tried to come closer towards me,

"Kaha bhage ja raha hai? Pooja ke liye toh ruk ja" Our eye contact was interrupted when maa scolded him in between his way and chuckling to his reaction when he obediently went behind to stand beside baba, I shook my head

Soon after the welcome ended, Maa gave me the thaal and I saw baba, maa and nandini going inside the house,
Chuckling at nandini who followed baba like a duckling follows the duck, I was caught off guard when suddenly someone encircled their hands around my waist from behind and twirled me in their hold

"Ahhhh, Virat jii" Shouting at the sudden contact, My flinching turned into a laughter when I heard him laughing from behind, Twirling me in two rounds, He kept me back on my feet and turning towards him I saw his lips formed in the widest smile I have ever seen,
