The graduation ceremony was a whirlwind of emotions.

I was ecstatic about graduating, yet a part of me felt a deep sadness knowing I wouldn't be part of Alisha's daily college routine for the next two years.

As I watched my classmates and friends prepare to embark on new journeys, I knew I had to make this day unforgettable for Alisha.

I had planned something special, something that I hoped would reassure her of our future together despite the physical distance.

When my name was called, I walked up the stage as the top student. The applause was thunderous.

I looked out into the audience and saw my parents, my friends, and my love, Alisha, all cheering for me. My heart swelled with pride and love.

After the ceremony, I made my way through the crowd and found Alisha. I took her hand and brought her over to meet my parents.

"Mummy, papa, this is Alisha," I said, smiling widely.

My mom's eyes lit up.

"So you're the famous Alisha we've heard so much about you beta! It's wonderful to finally meet you."

Alisha blushed. "It's an honor to meet you too Mr. And Mrs.—"

My dad chuckled. "Call us Uncle and Aunty, beta. We've heard nothing but good things about you."

Alisha laughed, and so did my parents. The mood was light, and I could see Alisha was happy and comfortable around my family.

I excused myself with my parents for a moment, taking them to the side to discuss my plans.

Alisha watched us, confusion evident on her face. After a few moments, my parents nodded and smiled, giving me their approval.

I turned back to Alisha, my heart pounding in my chest. Taking a deep breath, I walked over to her and knelt down, opening a small ring box. Her eyes widened in shock.

"Alisha," I began, my voice slightly trembling with nerves and excitement,

"I know the next couple of years will be challenging with us being apart, but I want you to know that you're the one for me. Will you marry me?"

Alisha looked around, her eyes darting to Nandani, Rohan, and my parents, who were all smiling and nodding encouragingly.

She seemed to be in disbelief and sat down to face me, pinching my arm.

"Ouch, yarr Chandni!" I yelped, making everyone laugh.

Alisha giggled, tears forming in her eyes. "I just had to make sure this wasn't a dream."

I slipped the ring onto her finger, and she threw her arms around me.

"Am I your half-wife now?" she whispered, blushing.

I chuckled and nodded. "Yes, and in two years, you'll be my full wife."

She pulled back slightly, looking into my eyes. "You promise?"

"I promise," I said, holding her tightly. "We'll make this work. I love you, Alisha, and I'll always be there for you, no matter what."

Rohan clapped loudly. "Well, looks like I need to start planning a bachelor party!"

Nandani smirked. "And I'll help Alisha with all the wedding preparations. This is going to be so much fun!"

My parents stepped forward, hugging Alisha and me. "Welcome to the family, Alisha," my mom said warmly.
