After class I ran into Vin and Audrey again in the hall. We all had our next class, biology together. I noticed Vin was looking kind of distracted.
'You OK?'
'She's fine.' Audrey said. 'She's just thinking about Vanya.'
'Audrey! Sphut up!' Vin said, nudging her.
'Who's Vanya?' I asked.
'Oh, she's my crush.' Vin said, blushing as we went inside the classroom.
'Who's your crush Audrey?' I asked as we sat down.
'I'm aroace. Vin's gay. What about you?'
'I'm bi. Explained by my bisexual stereotypical fake highlights.'
'Oh yeah, sweet hair!' Said Vin.
'I wish I could cut mine, but my mom is super strict.'
'At least you have a mom.' Me and Audrey said together. Vin laughed.
'Sorry, point taken. But she still sucks.'
The teacher came in and began the lesson.
'Good morning everyone, today we're going to be dissecting a heart. Now if you carefully unwrap the tinfoil in front of you, you will see the organ we will be studying today.'
I froze in my chair, closing my eyes. No way I was even gonna look at that thing. The teacher saw and came over.
'Dillon, I know about your trauma, so I have something planned with you. Follow me to the cafeteria kitchen.'
What was she gonna do to me? Before I knew it, I had a shutdown and zoned out.
