As Jackie stewed in her kitchen terrarium, she was haunted by the memory of meeting up with Candy, distraught and broken, inside King Richard's filthy stomach. Her heart was torn to pieces. She felt horrible enough already, with Iris wasting away in plain sight on the other side of the glass. She wished fervently that she could give the poor girl a hug like she did to Candy, but the physical barrier between them prevented any contact. Iris was still emotionally distant and withdrawn as well, incapable of reciprocating any of Jackie's attempts to connect with her. She never spoke a single word.

Jackie didn't want to watch everyone around her wither away to nothing. Eren kept up her fighting spirit, despite the odds against her, but Jackie could tell how frustrated she was with her powerlessness. Jackie had come to Giganterra to eliminate her guilt and ease her burdened conscience, but her problems followed her, nipping at her heels tirelessly. She couldn't free herself from her inner turmoil, any more than she could phase through the glass walls and escape from the purgatory of the giant kitchen.

The knowledge that she wasn't entirely powerless was hardly a comfort to her. Jackie was wrought with anxiety. She knew what she needed to do, but she was terrified. She had been eaten three times now, each successive instance worse than the last, and she feared she'd mentally break from more excruciating hours inside a stomach. However, if she truly desired to save herself and her friends, she would have to allow herself to be consumed again. The way to the giant's heart was through his stomach, after all.

She waited for Chester, embroiled in nerve-wracking tension, hoping he wouldn't come for her. If he never appeared, her fate would be out of her hands, and she'd have no choice but to accept her doom. Unfortunately, the gluttonous giant couldn't stay away for long. He appeared in the kitchen around lunchtime, lurking on the fringes, stalking his prey. Watching, waiting, slobbering with an urgent desire that clamored for satiation.

Chester felt gross, and perverted, and ungentlemanly, but he couldn't help himself as he fixated on the tiny, naked woman in the glass tank. He knew it was unnatural and wrong to lust over his food, but she was his forbidden fruit. He delighted in every small movement she made, as she paced back and forth and traced her hands along the transparent walls. He hungered for Jackie with raging concupiscence and ravenousness that threatened to tear him apart if he couldn't get what he wanted. He yearned for her in her entirety, soul and body.

"Back for more, eh?" Bucky asked, blocking Chester's line of vision with his mass.

Chester nodded, trying to peer around him. "Sure am."

"I knew it," Bucky remarked, eyes gleaming with avarice. He held out his hand, twitching his fingers impatiently. "Pay up."

Chester dug into his pocket and retrieved a pair of golden earrings with glistening sapphires. "Here." He slapped them into Bucky's hand. "I bet they'll look ravishing on you."

Bucky snorted. "Nah, I'll put them on Chef Gore." He shot a mischievous look at the portly chef to his left, who was busy chopping up cabbages. Gore scoffed and shook his head, but his face flushed pink. "You'd make such a lovely princess!" Bucky jeered.
