As America bid farewell to his friends at the school gates, he spotted Russia standing alone nearby, seemingly waiting for someone. With a sense of determination, America made his way over to strike up a conversation.

"Hey, Russia, fancy seeing you here," America greeted with forced cheerfulness, hoping to break through the icy exterior. "Listen, about the presentation-"

But Russia remained silent, giving America only side glances and the occasional rude look. Frustration bubbled within America as he persisted, trying to make plans and even asking for Russia's number so they could coordinate for the project. Still, Russia remained stoic and unresponsive.

Growing increasingly annoyed by Russia's indifference, America couldn't help but let his frustration spill out. "You know, it's pretty rude to ignore someone when they're trying to talk to you," he began, his tone tinged with irritation. "I'm just trying to get this presentation sorted out, and you're acting like a brick wall."

Russia continued to ignore him, his silence fueling America's frustration even more. Just then, Kazakhstan, Russia's brother, emerged from the school building, catching sight of America talking to Russia.

"What's going on here?" Kazakhstan asked, confusion evident in his voice as he approached the two.

America let out a sigh, seizing the opportunity to vent his frustration to someone who might listen. "Your brother here is being incredibly rude," he started, gesturing towards Russia. "I've been trying to talk to him about a presentation we have to do together, but he won't even acknowledge me. It's like talking to a statue."

Kazakhstan glanced between his brother and America, his expression a mixture of perplexity and resignation. Meanwhile, Russia rolled his eyes, clearly unimpressed by America's rant.

As Kazakhstan was about to attempt to resolve the tense situation, a familiar car pulled up nearby, its tired occupants signaling the end of a long day. Despite their disheveled appearance, warmth radiated from his sisters' faces offering a sense of relief as they pulled up to pick up both Russia and Kazakhstan.

Russia wasted no time in sliding into the car, barely acknowledging his sisters. It wasn't until he was safely inside that his unimpressed facade melted away, revealing an annoyed expression. Meanwhile, Kazakhstan glanced at the car, quickly jotting down Russia's phone number on a piece of paper. With a smile, he covertly slipped the paper into America's hand before joining his sisters in the car, exchanging greetings as they drove off and engaged in conversation.

America couldn't help but smile, feeling a sense of triumph as he pocketed the paper containing Russia's phone number. It was a small victory in the midst of a frustrating encounter. With a smug grin, he made his way over to his own car, settling in as he pulled out his phone to pass the time while he waited for his brother Canada to finish their after-school lesson.

As he scrolled through his phone, anticipation building, America couldn't help but feel a sense of satisfaction. Despite the rocky start, he had managed to secure a means of communication with the enigmatic Russian boy, paving the way for a potentially productive partnership on the upcoming presentation.

(Russia POV)

Russia stepped out of the car, feeling the weight of the day's events lingering in his mind. Ignoring his sisters' tired but warm chats, he made a beeline for his room, eager to shed the confines of his school uniform and slip into something more comfortable.

With a sigh of relief, he peeled off the stiff fabric of his uniform, exchanging it for a soft, worn-in hood and sweatpants. The familiar comfort of his casual attire was a welcome reprieve from the constraints of the school day. The constricting uniform was tossed aside into a corner along with his school bag, not wanting to even spare a glance at his notes from today, not like he took many anyways.
