[168] PROPOSED - JUNE 2 2024

Jungkook and Jimin are college mates. They had mutual friends and they eventually started hanging out in the said friend group. They started acknowledging each other whenever they walked past each other in college - they had different classes.

One day Jimin got stranded in the university and called Taehyung to help him. Jungkook was with the boy at the time and the two rushed to the college to help Jimin who was locked up in the library.

Ever since that day, Jungkook started waiting for the tiny boy, whenever Jimin stayed back a bit longer at the college library - Jungkook took it upon himself to drop Jimin home when that happened because none of Jimin's friends wanted to spend their time at the library, studying.

Before dropping Jimin off, Jungkook would often take the boy on a short ride and buy him some street food. During those times, the two would talk about life, their likes and dislikes. Jimin would often cook the man some cookies or cakes to thank Jungkook

It wasn't a shocker that the two fell in love but they weren't ready to confess as they feared their friendship would be broken, especially Jimin- his parents never showed him love and the love and care he received from Jungkook was something he has never experienced before and he was okay with them being just friends in fear of losing that care completely

And then Jimin's family brings out A/N's proposal and Jimin says yes to thinking about it

Jungkook was surprised that Jimin had received a proposal- Jimin just informed the man about it. They went on a ride that day, as usual, but Jungkook wasn't being himself, he was quiet and they just sat enjoying the silence and cool evening breeze. After a long silence, Jungkook was about to ask Jimin about his feelings and thoughts about this marriage when Jimin gasps out

"A/N?"

Jungkook looks to where Jimin was looking at and sees a man holding a girl's hand and kissing it and then pecking her lips

Jungkook knows Jimin's fiancée name is A/N

"A/N?" Jungkook asks confused "...the one who you are arranged with?"

Jimin just nods watching the man in shock and Jungkook gets angry

"How dare he?! How dare he kiss someone else?! How dare he do this to you?!" Jungkook's voice is shaking in anger and disbelief along with the hurt he is feeling on Jimin's behalf

Jimin stares at the man, no one has ever cared for him this much to feel angry for him and then feeling a sense of longing and gratitude, he pulls Jungkook into a passionate kiss

Jungkook is surprised and doesn't do anything other than stand with his eyes wide open

Jimin pulls away from the kiss and then starts crying making Jungkook angry

"Why are you crying for that stupid man?!"

Jimin shakes his head

"....I'm crying because no one has cared for me the way you care about me...."

"Oh Jimin..." Jungkook reaches out to wipe the boy's tears

The two stare at each other for a moment - Jimin notices Jungkook's eyes flickering down to his lips at times, while licking his own lips

"Didn't you like my kiss?" Jimin pouts and Jungkook reddens, he coughs slightly

"...I...I did..... but... you were going to marry A/N right?... didn't you love him?" Jungkook asks confused

"No.. I love you ...besides I already told A/N I didn't want to marry him last week..."

"What!?" Jungkook didn't know that part

"It's always been you Jungkook... when I told you today about the proposal I was hoping you would feel something and confess to me or convince me to not marry him...."

"Idiot!' Jungkook says grabbing Jimin by the nape of his neck and kisses him

"If you loved me you should have told me!" Jungkook breathes against Jimin's lips

"If you loved me you should have told me" Jimin pouts

"Aa fck! how can I get angry at that pout... do you know how hurt I was when I came to know about the proposal ..." Jungkook cups the boy's face "...I was never going to let you go though ..just so you know... I was going to ask you to reconsider...to think about me as an option.... I got my answer"

Jimin smiles seeing the taller man's grin

"I love you so much Park Jimin" Jungkook says, his eyes glistening as he softly hugs the tiny boy

"I love you too Jungkook" Jimin sighs resting his cheek against the man's chest
