A steaming hot cup of coffee was set in front of her as Jakobe returned to the living room. "Here you go," he replied, a bit more bashful than she had ever seen him before. "You wanted two creams and two spoonfuls of sugar right?"
"Y-Yes," Isabella replied, nearly matching his body language right now. She was covering herself once more with one of Jakobe's shirts. Her attempts of putting her panties back on we're not going well, so she was still very much bare underneath that large shirt. The couch sunk down as Jakobe took a seat beside her, his eyes fixed on the television that was playing the local news. Neither one of them were really watching this broadcast. Isabella was trying to figure out what her next steps were. Her mouth opened but then closed again as her face flushed a tiny bit when she tried to look at him.
They had kissed.
They had actually kissed.
And if it wasn't for Jakobe's phone ringing, a saxophone ringtone that he had set for Mrs. Simmons. Isabella was ninety percent sure that they might have had sex. It was almost like they were stuck in some stupid romance anime, about to go all the way just for some friends to come into the room ruining the moment. After Jakobe had informed Mama Tati that Isabella was just fine, and was with him. He had gone to get them something warm to drink, and probably think about what he had just done. Leaving Isabella to quickly redress to what she was wearing right now.
"S-So..." Jakobe began, the bass and power that had been in his voice for a while seemingly gone. "I-I am sorry if I crossed a line with you."
Isabella frantically shook her head back and forth. "N-No I am sorry if I did that to you!" She squeaked out. "I was just lost in the moment, things felt right, you were being so gentle with me and then..."
"We kissed," her face burned even hotter, maybe hotter than her bottom as Jakobe said that. "I don't regret what happened between us, Isabella Shields."
"Pretty sure you saying that is what caused it," he chuckled slightly at her comment. "It's not my fault that you saying my full name does that to me." Her knees rubbed together as she squirmed on her still fairly sore bottom. She wanted to ask him if he could maybe rub more of that baby lotion on it, baby lotion that she also had a feeling is what made that whooping he gave her sting so badly. "Do I still have a job?"
"Of course you still have a job," Jakobe replied. "Why on earth would you not have one?" He looked at her before adding. "If you want you can lay down instead of sitting on that red rump, Isabella."
"I am okay," he raised an eyebrow at her, making her lay down on her side. Her head propped against his lap once more. "Okay fine my butt really stings and it is probably gonna be hard to sit for a few days." He chucked at that as put a hand on her arm, rubbing it a bit. "I asked that because I mean where do we go from here?"
His silence was worrying. She thought that she had lost a chance at this man, but after her punishment how they had cried together, and comforted each other. How everything seemed so perfect for them at that time, maybe that was just a moment in time that they had lost once reality had set in. He was her boss, and she was an employee. "I-I am not sure where we go from here, Isabella. Do not get me wrong, you are a very interesting young lady. We share some interests with each other, we both suffer from the same issue in our lives, I care deeply about you. I haven't felt this way in a very, and I mean a very, long time. I started feeling things for you that I didn't think were possible."
"Is that a bad thing?"
"I stopped allowing myself to feel things like that after I lost Kiara." Isabella turned her face up to the man as that shadow started to spread across his face. "I told myself I would never let someone into my heart again, but you somehow managed to start creeping in there, and for the first time I am not strong enough to push someone out. I don't want to do that, but it's hard to let someone in my life again."
