Silver was preparing to go visit Darkstalker and Whiteout to watch them for their parents. Silver suddenly noticed Gradient packing up all of his stuff, Silver was confused and said, "Hey Gradient, what are you doing?" Gradient quickly turned and said, "Oh um... I forgot to tell you... A few weeks ago I came up with a plan to stop Albatross."
Silver nodded and said, "Should I come with you?" To his surprise Gradient shook his head and said, "No, you should stay and keep an eye on everything here, I'll be fine, plus with my backstory it might make it easier to convince Albatross to trust me."
Silver thought for a moment and then said, "What about Queen Vigilance, don't you still want to get with her?" Gradient nodded and said, "Yeah but she hasn't even bothered commissioning me in weeks, so I think I'll be able to leave without any consequences."
Silver knew Gradient was right but still, he was going to deeply miss him and didn't want to say goodbye, especially since he didn't know how long it was going to be before they met again. Gradient seemed to quickly notice Silver's slight sorrow and quickly wrapped his wing around him while saying, "Don't be sad, think of it this way, you can bring anyone over and not have to worry about me interrupting you."
Silver and Gradient both laughed a bit before Gradient then said, "Well, I guess this is good bye for now... But I know we'll meet again, some sunny day." Silver nodded in agreement and said, "I'll still miss you, you're one of my best friends... And I'm sure everyone else will too." Gradient smiled and said, "I know, and I hope nothing happens that makes me wish I'd stayed gone, but I have confidence in you to take care of everything here."
As Gradient left he turned back to Silver and said, "Oh, and don't stay up to long or stay at Arctic and Foeslayer's for to long, I don't want you going home in the dark of the night." Silver nodded, he could tell Gradient was also worried about him. Silver watched Gradient fly off before he went to go take care of Whiteout and Darkstalker.
